NELSON GOVERNMENT GAZETTE. 130

No. 5. To stop up part of a road in the Upper Moutere District, colored blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road, lying between Sections No. 69 and No. 51, on one side, and No. 66 on the other side, being about 7 chains long, commencing at a point 3 chains from the north-west corner of Section No. 66.

And to substitute a certain other road 60 links wide, colored pink on the plan attached to this application, commencing at a point 3 chains from the north-west corner of Section No. 66, thence proceeding into that Section about 6½ chains in a south-easterly direction, to a point about 4½ chains from the boundary line of Section No. 51, thence curving round about ¾ of a chain, and back in a south-westerly direction about 5 chains, where it meets the old road.

No. 6. To stop up part of a road in the Upper Moutere District, colored blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road lying between Section No. 69 and No. 147, about 9½ chains long, in a south-westerly direction; thence through Section No. 147, about 2½ chains, in a southerly direction.

And to substitute a certain other road 60 links wide, colored pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at the southern end of the road lying between Section No. 69 and Section No. 66; thence proceeding in a southerly direction through Section No. 147 for about 11 chains, to a point on the road lying between Sections No. 147 and No. 71, this point being 6 chains from where a prolongation of the eastern boundary line of the road lying between Sections 69 and 66, would strike the southern boundary line of Section No. 147.

No. 7. To open a road in the Upper Moutere district, colored pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road proceeding from the public road lying between Sections No. 136 and No. 134, Square 3; the southern boundary line of the new road commencing at a point 4 chains from the north-west corner of Section No. 134, and crossing the said Section to a point on its western boundary line, 1 chain 10 links from the north-west corner of the same Section, there meeting a public road lying between Sections No. 133 and No. 134, and cutting off from Section No. 134, a triangular piece of land to be used as the road intended to be opened.

ESTIMATED EXPENSE.—£10.

No. 8. To stop up part of a road in the District of the Wai-iti Hills, colored blue on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of the road, 1 chain in width, dividing Sections No. 24 and 25, on Square 4, of the plan of the Province of Nelson, commencing at the trunk line of road and running eastward 250 links; and thence southward 1400 links.

And to substitute in the place thereof a certain other road, 1 chain wide, colored pink on the plan attached to this application, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of road commencing from the aforesaid trunk line of road, at a point 1750 links to the north-eastward of the road required to be stopped up, and running in a southerly direction through Section No. 24, on Square 4, for a distance of 30 chains, or until it reaches the road dividing Sections 24 and 25 on the said Square.*
