  1. The portion of road commencing at the banks of the River Moutere, and crossing sections numbered respectively 1, 2, and 18, and terminating at its junction with the line of road drawn on plan; about 60 and 11 chains.

Also, a portion of road from the line of road described to be substituted, and crossing sections numbered respectively 1 and 201, about 60 chains; and also the portion of road on the south boundary of section numbered 1, commencing at the first line of road proposed to be substituted, and terminating at the Public Reserve, about 550 links.

  1. The portion of road commencing at the line of road shown on plan in section numbered 11, and dividing sections numbered respectively 108, 107, and 82, from sections numbered respectively II., VII., 36, 37, 82b, and 82a, and also crossing sections numbered respectively 162, 164, 61, and 62, and terminating at the line of road shown on plan in section numbered 62, about 250 chains; also the portion of road in continuation of the road between sections numbered VII. and 36, commencing at the line of road proposed to be stopped and terminating at the road proposed to be substituted, about 5 chains; also, the portion of road between Crown Land and section numbered 162, commencing at the line of road shown on plan, and terminating at the Public Reserve, about 450 links; and also, the portion of road between sections numbered respectively 164 and 82b, commencing at the line of road shown on plan, and terminating at the boundary of section numbered 82, about 9 chains.

PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROADS IN THE MOUTERE DISTRICT.

III.

To stop up parts of a road in the Moutere District, being the road laid down on the plan of the district leading from the Moutere River to to the Wild-boar Valley, and which is shown by blue color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

  1. The portion of road lying between sections numbered respectively 107, 109 and 111, and sections numbered respectively 106 and 110; about 48 chains.

  2. The portion of road lying between sections numbered respectively 114 and 126, and sections numbered respectively 116 and 126, commencing at a point about 11 chains from the north-eastward angle of section numbered 114; about 51 chains.

And to substitute in the place thereof certain other portions of a road, 60 links in width, and which is shown by pink color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

  1. The portion of road crossing section numbered 106, and running between section numbered 110 and section numbered 108, about 60 chains, commencing from the road line at about 12 chains on the eastward boundary, and terminating at the road at the north-west boundary of section numbered 108.

  2. The portion of road which crosses sections numbered respectively 114 and 126, commencing at the road between sections numbered 114 and 116, at a point about 12 chains on the northward boundary of section numbered 114, and terminating at the westward boundary of section numbered 126; about 54 chains.
