    5, commencing at the road running between
    sections numbered respectively 200 and 5, to
    the division line between sections numbered
    respectively 5 and 9, about 19 chains.

  2. The portion of road on the east side of section
    numbered 9, from the division line of sections
    numbered 9 and 5 to the line of road running
    between sections numbered 4 and 12, about
    32 chains, and

  3. The portion of road crossing sections num-
    bered respectively 36, 37, and 1 of Block 1,
    and Crown Land, commencing about 18 chains
    from the northern boundary of section 36, and
    terminating at the junction with the road pro-
    posed to be stopped up. Total length about
    165 chains.

  4. To stop up parts of a road in the Wai-wero
    Valley, and which is shown by the blue color
    on the plan attached to this application, and
    is more particularly described as follows :—

  5. The portion of road commencing from the
    road on the northward boundary of sections
    numbered 53 and 44, and terminating at the
    southern boundary of section numbered 44,
    and lying between sections numbered respec-

tively 53 and 44, and Crown Land on one side,
and sections 41, 42, 43, and 44, on the other ;
about 116 chains.

  1. The portion of road commencing from the
    road previously described to be stopped up,
    and terminating at the road on the eastward
    boundary of section numbered 44 ; about 29
    chains.

And to substitute in the place thereof certain other
portions of a road, 60 links in width, and which
is shown by pink color on the plan attached to
this application, and is more particularly de-
scribed as follows :—

  1. The portion of road commencing from the
    road leading from the Moutere to the Wai-
    wero, at a point about 11 chains eastward of
    section numbered 53, and crossing sections
    numbered respectively 40, 53, 41, and 42, and
    terminating at the junction with the road
    leading to Nga-timoti on the westward boun-
    dary of section numbered 42 ; Total length
    about 95 chains ; and

  2. The portion of road commencing at the road
    at the northward boundary of sections num-
    bered respectively 40 and 53, and terminating
    at the road between sections 46 and 45, being
    a portion of sections 53 and 44, on the east-
    ward side of the said sections, about 113 chains
    and crossing sections numbered 54 ; about 23
    chains.

PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROADS IN THE MOUTERE DISTRICT.

II.

To stop up parts of a road in the Moutere District,
being the road laid down on the plan of the district
leading from Sarau, Upper Moutere, to the banks of
the River Moutere, at sections numbered respectively
1 and 201, and which is shown by blue color on the
plan attached to this application, and is more par-
ticularly described as follows :—

  1. The portion of road dividing sections num-
    bered respectively 201 and 31, from sections
    numbered respectively 1, 2, and 18, commen-
    cing from the line of road on the banks of the
    River Moutere, and stopping in section num-
    bered V1.; about 70 chains.

  2. The portion of road running through sections
    numbered respectively 1L, V1L, 36 and 37,
    commencing in section numbered 11, and ter-
    minating at the line of road between sections
    numbered respectively 37 and 58; about 33
    and 64 chains.

  3. The portion of road dividing sections num-
    bered respectively 82a and 82b, from sections
    numbered respectively 60 and 62, commencing
    at the road at the south boundary of section
    numbered 164, and terminating at the junc-
    tion with the new line of road in section num-
    bered 62 ; about 53 chains.

And to substitute in the place thereof certain other
portions of road in the same district, 1 chain in
