ALTERATION OF ROADS.
THE Undersigned hereby give
notice that they intend to APPLY to two
or more Justices of the Peace, at a sitting to
be held on TUESDAY, 22nd December, 1863,
at the Court House, Nelson, for an ORDER
for STOPPING UP, DIVERTING AND
MAKING the undermentioned ROADS;
and further, that we will cause survey plans
of the several roads proposed to be stopped
up, substituted, and made, together with the
books of reference and estimates, to be
deposited on or before the 3rd day of Novem-
ber, 1863, with the CLERK to the MAGIS-
TRATES at Nelson; and with Mr. George Tay-
lor, Constable for the District of Takaka,
those which refer to the Golden Bay District;
those which refer to the District of Motueka,
those which refer to the Moutere District; and with Mr.
THOMAS ANDREWS, Constable for Waimea
South, those which refer to the Upper Motu-
eka District.
PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROADS IN
THE MOUTERE DISTRICT.
I.
1st. To stop up parts of a road in the Moutere Dis-
trict, being the road laid down on the plans leading
from the Moutere River to the Wai-wero, and which
is shown by blue color on the plan attached to this
application, and is more particularly described as
follows :β

The portion of road from the Moutere River
to the road crossing section numbered 200,
about 14 chains, and lying between sections
numbered respectively 200 and 5 on the said
plan. -
The portion of road crossing the south-east
angle of section numbered 35, about 10 chains. -
The portion of road crossing sections numbered
respectively 36 and 38, about 20 chains, 35
chains, and 10 chains, commencing about 18
chains from the northern boundary of section
36, and terminating at the southern boundary
of part 1 of section numbered 38, and -
The portion of road crossing the south-east
angle of section numbered 37 and Crown Land,
about 13 chains, 24 chains, 18 chains, and 37
chains, commencing at the division line be-
tween sections numbered respectively 38 and
37, and terminating at the junction with the
road proposed to be substituted.
And to substitute in the place thereof certain other
portions of a road 60 links in width, and which
