- The following charges will be authorised, namely:—

In the event of the ferry not being kept and maintained to the satisfaction of the Warden of the District, the protection may be cancelled by the Chairman of the County Council.

SCHEDULE N.—KANIERI FERRY.
LEARMONTH AND SMITH.

The punt, gear and approaches to be maintained in good and serviceable condition, subject to the approval of the County Engineer.

SCHEDULE O.—TEREMAKAU FERRY
JOHN TAGGART.

The ferry to be worked by a boat.

The amount of rent to be £6, a month, paid monthly in advance.

Ferry to extend on both sides of the river, one mile each way, from the point at which the boat starts. The protection to date from 1st August, 1870.

The protection to be for twelve months from the 13th April, 1870.

Ferry to extend for one mile on the Westland side of the river, each way, from where the boat starts.
