Election of Commissioners—Lower Hutt Local District.

INFORMATION has been received,
under the hand of the Returning
Officer (Mr. James McKenzie) that the
following gentlemen were duly elected
Commissioners for the Lower Hutt Local
District, on the 21st and 22nd days of
September instant, viz.—

Mr. Wm. Alfred Fitzherbert
Mr. John White
Mr. Henry Jackson
Mr. Nathaniel Valentine

First Meeting of Lower Hutt Local Board.

HIS Honor The Deputy-Superintendent
has been pleased to appoint, that
the first meeting of the newly-elected
Board of Commissioners for the Lower
Hutt Local District, shall be held at the
office of the Board, on Monday, the 9th
October next, at 7.30 p.m.

Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board.
NOTICE is hereby given, that a Plan,
Section, and Specification of a proposed
Road, starting from the Great
North-western Road of the Province, at
the north end of the Kai-Iwi Bridge, and
proceeding up the Right Bank of the
Kai-Iwi Stream to the land occupied by
Mr. George Mitchell, together with a
Schedule of the lands intersected by such
proposed Road, and of the owners, lessees,
and occupiers thereof, have been deposited for inspection at the office of the
said Board, Ridgway street, Wanganui,
and that any person wishing to make any
objection or suggestion as to the course
of such Road, must do so in writing,
addressed to this Board, within forty days
from this date.

office from the Inspector of Sheep
for the East Coast District, that the “Oni-
flock,” belonging to Mr. Hawin Meredith,
Riversdale, is infected with scab.

Wanganui-Waitotara Highway Board.
NOTICE is hereby given that a plan,
section, and specification of a proposed road, leading from the Kawhatanui
Road to Kaiwhatu on the North side of
the Kai Iwi stream, together with a
schedule of the lands intersected by such
proposed road, and of the owners, lessees,
and occupiers of such lands, are now lying
for inspection at the office of the above
Board, Ridgway-street, Wanganui; and
that any persons wishing to offer any
objection or suggestion respecting the course
of such proposed road, must do so in
writing, addressed to the Board within
forty days from this date.
