Horokiwi Road District.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 3rd March, 1870.

IT has been notified to this office that at the annual meeting of the electors of the above district, the following parties were elected as wardens, viz:

Mr. William Bassett, Senr.
Mr. Richard Ralf
Mr. Charles Maidment
Mr. Francis Frisk
Mr. Jas. McEwen, Chairman.

Carterton Road Board.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 1st March, 1870.

IT has been notified to this office that at a meeting of the ratepayers of the Carterton Road District, held on the 8th January last, the following persons were duly elected as Wardens for the ensuing two years, viz:

Mr. Thomas Bennett, Chairman
" Ormond Bennett
" William Walker
" William Vickerstaffe
" Henry White

and that Mr. G. R. Jones has been appointed Collector of Rates; Mr. Henry White, Treasurer; Mr. E. S. Wakelin and Mr. J. Haxton, Auditors.

The election of the Wardens at the meeting held on the 21st September, 1869, having been declared illegal.

Under the Provision for the Non-Payment of Rates Act, 1862.

By Order of the Court.

NOTICE is hereby given that GEORGE THOMAS is instructed by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, to sell by Public Auction, at Thomas's Auction Mart, Lambton Quay, Wellington, on Wednesday the 20th day of April, 1870, at 2 o'clock p.m. : All that piece of land containing 100 acres, or thereabouts, situate in and being Section numbered 86 on the plan of the Ohariu District.

Dated this 22nd day of Dec., 1869.

Remission Certificates.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 1st March, 1870.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Remission Certificates under the Volunteer Acts are now ready at this office for the members of the following companies who are entitled:

Porirua Rifle Volunteers.
Rangitikei Royal Rifle Volunteers.
Rangitikei Union Rifle Volunteers.
Masterton Rifle Volunteers.

In cases where it is impossible for the party entitled to receive the Certificate to attend in person, it will be delivered to the bearer of an authority certified to by a Justice of the Peace or the Officer Commanding the Company.
