And whereas the Acts hereinafter specified have been enacted by the Superintendent of Wellington, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, and the said Acts were received by the Governor on the thirteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five:

And whereas it is expedient that the said Acts should be disallowed:

Now therefore I, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority vested in me in that behalf by the said recited Act of Parliament, do hereby proclaim and declare my disallowance of the following Acts passed by the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, namely,—

"Manawatu Racecourse Act, 1865;"
"Hutt Park and Racecourse Act, 1865;"
"Wairarapa Racecourse Act, 1865."

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, at the Government House, at Wellington, and issued under the Public Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, this twenty-eighth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

"The Appropriation Act," Session XIII., No. 8;
"The Licensing Amendment Act," Session XIII., No. 10;
"The Wellington Town Board Act, 1865," Session XIII., No. 11;
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to leave the same to their operation.
