Hutt Park and Race-course.

PROCLAMATION

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington it is declared that all reserves for the sites of Townships or suburban lands for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements or for any other purpose of public advantage safety convenience health or enjoyment shall be determined by the Superintendent who shall notify the same by Proclamation wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made And whereas it would be of public advantage if certain land in the Lower Hutt were set apart for a Park and Race-course Now THEREFORE I Isaac Earl Featherston Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby proclaim and declare that all that parcel of land in the Province of Wellington situate in the Hutt District containing by admeasurement eighty-nine acres more or less being part of the section numbered twelve on the plan of the said Hutt District bounded towards the north by other part of the said section two thousand four hundred and fifty links towards the north-east by section number thirteen two thousand and eight links towards the east and south-east by section number fifteen three thousand links towards the south and south-west by Native Reserve and towards the west by a public road and the Waiwetu River two thousand four hundred and fifty links Excepting always the piece of land containing four acres more or less known as Freethy’s Island and already granted to Thomas Freethy is hereby reserved and set apart by me for the purpose aforesaid.

Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the P.S. Province of Wellington at Wellington this second day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court-house, Lambton Quay, in the City of Wellington, upon Tuesday, the 24th day of October instant, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, when all persons having business before the said Court are required to give their attendance.
