Road Reserved in Wanganui District.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 21st October, 1863.

HEREBY give notice that I have caused to be surveyed and pegged out on the ground a road 50 links wide, starting from the present main line of road from Wanganui to Waitotara and passing through sections Nos. 170, 169, 152, and 153 into section No. 238 all on the right bank of the Wanganui River.

Further that I have had a plan of the same as surveyed, filed in this office, and laid down on the general map of the district.

Proclamation setting apart a Ferry Reserve in the Rangitiki.

By His Honor, Isaac Earl FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all Reserves for the sites of Townships, or Suburban Lands for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent, who shall notify the same by Proclamation, wherein the object shall be specified for which any reserve shall be made; And whereas, it would be of public advantage if certain land in the Rangitiki District was set apart for a Ferry Reserve.

Now therefore I, Isaac Earl FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare, that the section marked C in the Rangitiki district, containing nine hundred and fifty (950) acres, more or less, and bounded North and North-West by Crown lands; East, by sections marked A and B, by sections Nos. 1 and 2, and by the Rangitiki river; South by the Rangitiki river; and West by the Sea Coast, is hereby reserved and set apart by me for the purpose aforesaid.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

Proclamation fixing date of sale of land in the Warehama Block.

By His Honor ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.

ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, do hereby in pursuance of the Regulations in this behalf proclaim and notify that the several allotments of land situate in the Warehama Block in the East Coast District in the Province of Wellington, and specified in the Schedule hereto, except such as may be reserved under the provision hereafter mentioned, will be put up for sale by public auction at the Crown Lands Office, in the town of Wellington, on Thursday, the eleventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, at one o’clock in the afternoon.

If at any time during the sale it may appear to the Commissioner of Crown Lands beneficial or expedient for the public service to reserve from sale either of the sections specified in the said Schedule, or to vary the order in which they are to be put up, he is hereby authorised to do so.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
