Extension of the "Ohariu Highways District."

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston,
Esquire, Superintendent of
the Province of Wellington, in
the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation issued
under the hand of the Superintendent and of the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, on the twenty-eighth
day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and fifty-nine, certain sections
of land in the Ohariu district therein
particularly described were declared to
be a Highways District within the meaning of the Act or Acts then in force for
the management of District Roads by
the style or title of the "Ohariu Highways District": And Whereas it is ex-
pedient to extend the said Ohariu High-
ways District: Now, therefore, I, Isaac
Earl Featherston, do hereby in exercise
of the power vested in me in that behalf,
Proclaim and declare that the following
sections of land in the said Ohariu District shall henceforth be included in and
form part of the said Ohariu Highways
District, that is to say,—sections one,
two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
nine, ten, eleven, twelve, eighty-nine,
one hundred and five, and one hundred
and six, shown and colored red on the
plan delineated in the margin.

ISAAC EARL FEATHERSTON,
Superintendent of the Province of
Wellington, do hereby in pursuance of
the Regulations in this behalf proclaim
and notify that the several allotments of
land situate in the Warehama and Tiraumea Blocks in the East Coast District in the Province of Wellington, and
specified in the Schedule hereto, except
such as may be reserved under the provision hereafter mentioned, will be put
up for sale by public auction at the
Crown Lands Office, in the town of Wellington, on Tuesday the twenty-fourth
day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-three, at one o’clock
in the afternoon.

If at any time during the sale it may
appear to the Commissioner of Crown
Lands beneficial or expedient for the
public service to reserve from sale either
of the sections specified in the said
Schedule or to vary the order in which
they are to be put up he is hereby
authorised to do so.
