Deposit of Plans for the Turakina Valley Road.

Wellington, October 19, 1863.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Wardens of the Turakina Valley district, have caused to be made and deposited in the office of the Provincial Secretary, Wellington, a survey plan and section of the works of an intended road, from the main road leading from Turakina to Wanganui, to land in the occupation of Charles Cameron, and a book in which is recorded the names of the owners and occupiers of the land on which the road is intended to be made, together with an estimate of the expense thereof, and a statement of the amount of compensation to each of the owners or occupiers of such lands, in terms of "District Highways Act, 1862," and further that they have also deposited a statement under the hands of the whole of the owners or occupiers of land aforesaid, to the effect that they each for themselves waive any right or claim to compensation in respect to the making of such road.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

Wellington, Oct. 19, 1863.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after Monday next, the 26th of October instant, a white light will be shown from sunset to sunrise, at the outer end of the Queen's Wharf, the bearings of which are as follow:

  • From Point Jerningham, west by south ¼ south.
  • From Point Halswell west by south ½ south
  • From the centre of Soames' Island south west ¾ west
  • From Pipitea point south by west
