Notes on Clouds.—10 is an overcast sky, and 0 is a cloudless sky.

Wind : Force.—The Maximum Pressure in 24 hours is given, and decimal parts of a lb. on the square foot.

Barometer.—The height is reduced to sea level, at a temperature of 32 deg. Far.

Thermometer Means.—Deducible from the Maximum and Minimum readings at 10 a.m., of the 24 hours previously.

Maximum in Sun’s Rays and Shade.—These figures are the readings at 10 a.m., and like the wind’s force, thermometer means, and fall of rain apply to the 24 hours previously.
