Public Reserve in Carterton.
PROCLAMATION
By His Honor Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by the Land Regulations now in force in the Province of Wellington, it is declared that all Reserves, for the sites of Townships or Suburban Lands, for the sites of Agricultural and Small Farm Settlements, or for any other purpose of public advantage, safety, convenience, health, or enjoyment, shall be determined by the Superintendent who shall notify the same by Proclamation, wherein the object shall be specified for which any Reserve shall be made:
And whereas it would be of public advantage if certain lands in the Township of Carterton were set apart for the erection of public buildings thereon and for other public purposes:
Now therefore, I, Isaac Earl Featherston, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, in virtue of the Power and Authority vested in me in this behalf, Do hereby proclaim and declare that Section Number Three (3), in the Township of Carterton, containing Ten (10) acres, more or less, and bounded on the North by Section No. Two (2), on the South by Section No. Four (4) on the East by Section No. Thirty (30), and on the West by the Public Road, is hereby reserved and set apart by me for the purposes aforesaid.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Wellington, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

Election of Provincial Council Member for the City of Wellington.
ELECTION NOTICE.
ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF WELLINGTON.
In pursuance of the provisions of the Acts of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Provincial Elections Act, 1858,” and “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, Henry St. Hill, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of “the City of Wellington,” do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 14th day of February, 1863, issued under the hand of Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of the said Province for the said Electoral District, in the place of George Turnbull, who has resigned his seat in the said Provincial Council; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrates’ Court at Wellington, in the said Province, on Tuesday, the third (3rd) day of March, 1863, at noon; and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the fifth (5th) day of March 1863.

ELECTION NOTICE.
ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF THE WELLINGTON COUNTRY DISTRICTS.
In pursuance of the provisions of the Acts of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Provincial Elections Act, 1858,” and “The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, Henry St. Hill, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of “The Wellington Country District,” do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the nineteenth day of February, 1863, issued under the hand of Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of the said Province for the said Electoral District, in the place of John Fortescue Evelyn Wright, who has resigned his seat in the said Provincial Council; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrates’ Court, at Wellington, in the said Province, on Wednesday, the fourth (4th) day of March, 1863, at noon, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the seventh (7th) day of March, 1863.
