NOTICE.
Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington.—Election of one Member for the Hutt District.
WHEREAS a Writ under the hand of Isaac Earl Featherston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, and under the Public Seal of the said Province, bearing date the Seventeenth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, directed to me, Henry St. Hill, Esquire, as Returning Officer for the Hutt District, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the Voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington, for the Hutt District, aforesaid, in the place of Alfred Renall, who has accepted an office of emolument under the Superintendent of the said Province.
Now, THEREFORE, I, the said Henry St. Hill, Esquire, Resident Magistrate and Returning Officer, for the Hutt District, do hereby, in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that a Public Meeting of the Electors of the Hutt District, will be holden at the Aglionby Arms, near the Hutt Bridge, in the Province, aforesaid, on Tuesday, the ninth day of October next, at Twelve o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of nominating one person to serve as a Member of the said Council for the Hutt District aforesaid, in the place of Alfred Renall, and in the event of a Poll being demanded for the candidates, or any of them, such polling shall take place at the said Aglionby Arms, on Wednesday, the tenth day of October next, the voting to commence at any time after 9 o’clock in the forenoon of the said day, and to close at 4 o’clock in the afternoon of the said day.

WHEREAS a Writ under the hand of Isaac Earl Featherston, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, and under the Public Seal of the said Province, bearing date the Seventeenth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-five, directed to me Henry St. Hill, Esq., Sheriff of the District of Wellington in the said Province, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the Voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, one person to serve as Coroner for the Hutt District, in the said Province.
Now THEREFORE, I, the said Henry St. Hill, Esq., Sheriff for the District aforesaid, do hereby, in pursuance of the said Writ, give notice that a Public Meeting of the Electors of the Hutt district will be holden at the “Aglionby Arms,” near the Hutt Bridge, in the Province aforesaid, on Monday, the Twenty-fourth day of September inst., at Nine o’clock in the forenoon for the election of a fit and proper person to hold the Office of Coroner for the Hutt District aforesaid; and in the event of a Poll being demanded for the Candidates, or any of them, such polling to commence at Ten o’clock in the forenoon of the said day, and to close at four o’clock in the afternoon of the said day.
