NOTICE

PUBLIC FOOTPATHS

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, November 16, 1867.

In exercise of the authority vested in me by the "Municipal Police Ordinance, 1862," I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby give notice and declare that the undermentioned Footways in the Town of New Plymouth, shall henceforth be deemed and taken to be Public Footpaths within the meaning of an Ordinance of the Lieutenant Governor of New Zealand, and of the Legislative Council thereof, intituled an "Ordinance to provide for the protection of Footpaths in the Colony of New Zealand," and shall be protected accordingly:—

ELLIOT STREET—The footway of the width of fourteen feet six inches on the west side of Elliot street, from Devon street to Gill street.

FULFORD STREET—The footway of the width of twelve feet on the north side of Fulford street, from Dawson street to Robe street.

QUEEN STREET—The footway of the width of twelve feet on the east side of Queen street, from Devon street to St. Aubyn street.

VIVIAN STREET—The footway of the width of twelve feet on the north side of Vivian street, from Brougham street to Huatoki River.

CARRINGTON ROAD—The footway of the width of twelve feet on the west side of Carrington Road, from Leach street to Lemon street.

NOTICE

Constituting boundaries of No. 8 Cattle District, and constituting No. 5 Cattle District.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, November 26, 1867.

Whereas by the 15th clause of the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, from time to time, by notice in the Government Gazette of the Province, to constitute Districts for the purposes of the said Ordinance, and in like manner to extend, contract, or alter the boundaries of any such District, and to revoke the notice by which any such District shall have been constituted. Now therefore, I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby contract the boundaries of No. 5 Cattle District as constituted by a notice dated the 13th October, 1865, and published in the Government Gazette of the Province, No. 27, 1865, by separating from the said District all those lands situated in the Seventh or Upper Hurford Road District, and I hereby constitute the said lands a separate Cattle District, as follows:—

No. 8 CATTLE DISTRICT.

The block of land being the Seventh Road District, bounded on the north by the Tapuae and Ngakara streams, on the east by the boundaries of the Fifth and Fourth Road Districts, and on the west by the boundary line of the Omata Block.

ROADS AND BRIDGES

NOTICE

Constituting No. 21 District under the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance."

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, November 28, 1867.

Whereas by the 2nd clause of the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, amongst other things to constitute Districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force. Provided that no such notice shall at any time be published without the previous approval of the Provincial Council. Now therefore, I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, in exercise of the before recited authority, do hereby, with the approval of the Provincial Council, constitute the undermentioned block of land, known as the Mataitawa Block, to be District No. 21, under the provisions of the said recited Ordinance.

District No. 21.

The block of land bounded towards the west by No. 13 Road District, as constituted by a notice dated 10th April, 1866, from the north-west corner of Section No. 190 to the south-west corner of Section No. 204 on the plan of the Mataitawa Block, thence by a straight line to the south-eastern corner of Section 182 on the said plan, thence by the Mangauri and Waitara rivers to the southern boundary of No. 11 Road District, as constituted by a notice dated...
