ROADS AND BRIDGES.
NOTICE
Altering the month for a General Meeting, and appointing a General Meeting for No. 21 Road District.
Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, November 28, 1867.
WHEREAS by the 6th clause of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” it is provided that a General Meeting of the electors of each District shall be convened in the month of May in every year, on such day and at such place as shall be appointed by the Superintendent. And whereas by the 49th clause of the said Ordinance, power is given to the Superintendent, with the approval of the Provincial Council, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, to alter the month in which General Meetings of the electors for each District shall be held.
Now therefore I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby with the approval of the Provincial Council, alter the month for the holding of General Meetings of the electors for the 21st Road District from the month of May to the month of December, and I hereby appoint that a General Meeting thereof shall be held at the Blockhouse, Mataitawa, on Saturday, the 14th December proximo, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

IT is hereby notified that John McDonald, has in accordance with the 17th Section of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” been duly appointed a Commissioner for No. 18 Road District, vice W. Ashcroft, resigned.

BRANDING OF CATTLE ORDINANCE, 1865.

New Plymouth, December 5, 1867.
IN exercise of the authority vested in the Superintendent by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki intituled the “Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865,” I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby convene a General Meeting of the electors of No. 2 District constituted under the said Ordinance, to be held at the Taranaki Institute in Brougham-street, Town of New Plymouth, on Saturday, the twenty-first day of December instant, at three o’clock p.m., for the purpose of appointing Commissioners.
