NOTICE

Appointing a place for Exposing Cattle for Public Inspection.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, December 18, 1865.

IN exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865," I do hereby declare that I have appointed the place below specified to be a place at which Cattle shall be exposed for public inspection in accordance with the provisions of the said Ordinance, viz. —

The stockyard on the farm of W. Messenger, junior, in the Omata district.

"ROADS AND BRIDGES ORDINANCE, 1858."

NOTICE

Constituting 11th District, and appointing month for General Meetings of the Electors for the same, and convening a General Meeting.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, December 18, 1865.

IN exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled "The Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858," I Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby constitute and appoint the Eleventh District as hereunder described to be a district for the purposes of the said Ordinance. And I hereby further appoint that General Meetings of the Electors for the said District shall be held in the month of December, and that the minimum rate for the said District shall be three pence per acre. And I hereby convene a General Meeting of the Electors for the said District to be held on Saturday, the 30th December instant, at 4 p.m., at No. 6 Redoubt, Huirangi, for the purpose of Imposing a Rate and Electing Commissioners and Auditors for the ensuing year.

11th District.—All that block of land known as the Huirangi Block bounded as follows, viz.: — Towards the north by a straight line known as the Matarikoriko line running through Kairau Redoubt, and parallel to the Devon Line towards the east by the Waitara River; towards the south by the Mataitawa Block, and towards the west by the Tarurutangi Block.

PROCLAMATION

Appointing a Quarantine Ground under "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1861."

By his Honor Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.

IN exercise of the authority delegated to Superintendents of Provinces, under the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Diseased Cattle Act, 1861," I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim that the undermentioned place in the Province of Taranaki shall be a Quarantine Ground for the purposes of the said Act, from and after the fifteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five:

The piece of land being part of allotment marked R on the plan of the town of New Plymouth, bounded on the north by the sea coast, on the east by another part of the said allotment, on the south by Buller-street, and on the west by town allotment No. 1954.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Taranaki, at New Plymouth aforesaid, this eighteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
