NOTICE

Altering Poundage Fees chargeable under Impounding Ordinance, 1854.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, December 13, 1865.

In exercise of the power vested in the Superintendent by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled “An Ordinance to authorise and regulate the Impounding of Cattle, and to provide for the summary recovery of compensation for damage done by Cattle Trespassing,” Sess. 1, No. 8,
I, Henry Robert Richmond, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby notify that, from the date hereof, Poundage Fees according to the following scale shall be charged on all animals impounded in any of the Pounds hitherto appointed under the provisions of the said Ordinance:—

POUNDAGE FEES

For every entire horse, ass, or mule above the age of 12 months... 5 0
For every mare, gelding, colt, filly, foal, mule, or ass... 2 0

For every bull above the age of 12 months... 5 0
For every ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf—for the first ten... 1 0
For every ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf—for the next ten... 0 10
For every ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf—for the next thirty... 0 6
For every ox, cow, steer, heifer, or calf—for all above fifty... 0 4
For every ram above the age of nine months... 2 0
For every ewe, wether, or lamb—for the first twenty... 0 4
For every ewe, wether, or lamb—for the next thirty... 0 3
For every ewe, wether, or lamb—for the next fifty... 0 2
For every ewe, wether, or lamb—for all over one hundred... 0 1
For every boar over the age of three months... 5 0
For every goat or pig... 2 0

The above fees to be paid for each day or part of a day, during which the animal is kept in Pound.
