His Honor the Superintendent of Southland, to preside at a meeting of the Electors,
entitled to vote for members,
for the town of Invercargill, in the Provincial Council of Southland, assembled
on Tuesday, the sixteenth day of August,
at 12 o'clock noon, at the office of the Town Board, Invercargill,
for the purpose of Electing three persons to be members of the Town Board, at Invercargill,
hereby certify that the following persons were duly elected:
Jabez Hay,
George Luysden,
William Henderson Calder.
Given under my hand, at Invercargill, this 16th day of August, One thousand
eight hundred and sixty-four.

WALLACETOWN PUBLIC POUND.
August 11th, 1864.
IMPOUNDED this day:
1 Strong coarse bay cob, branded AMD off shoulder.
1 Chesnut cob, white star on forehead, white tip on nose, 3 white saddle marks,
no brands visible.
1 Bay draught horse, aged, white stripe down face, hind fetlocks white,
no brands visible.
1 Dark bay hack, white star on forehead, white tip on nose, slightly saddle
marked, branded like 8 near shoulder.
1 Bay cob, white star on forehead, white tip on nose, branded L near shoulder;
like 113 under saddle, near side.
1 Bay mare and foal, both without white marks; mare branded like C off shoulder.
If not claimed to be sold at the pound here on the sixteenth day of September,
next, at 12 o'clock noon.

VICTORIA, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,
Queen, Defender of the Faith. To THOMAS
MORELL MACDONALD and WILLIAM RUSSELL, of Invercargill,
Gentlemen, practising as Solicitors and Barristers, under the style or firm of Macdonald and Russell, and SAMUEL MUNCKLEY SOUTH, of the same place,
Gentleman, and JAMES RICHARD DAVIES, of the same place, contractor.
Greeting:
WHEREAS an action is now pending in our Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Invercargill, between William Miller, of Invercargill aforesaid, Merchant, Plaintiff, and Charles Watt, late of Invercargill, aforesaid, Merchant,
Defendant; and in order that the Plaintiff may proceed in his action, we command you, and each of you, that you do retain and keep all and singular the land and hereditaments, moneys and chattels, bills, bonds, and other property of whatsoever nature, in the custody or under the control of you, or either of you, at the time of the service of this writ belonging to the said Charles Watt, or to us, in which the said Defendant shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled or otherwise beneficially interested in, and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons, and all debts of any kind then due by you, or either of you, to the said Defendant, although the same or any part thereof may become due, and payable on a future day.
And we further command you, that you and each of you in your own proper persons, be and appear before such judge of our Supreme Court, as shall be sitting in Chambers, on Wednesday, the fifth day of October next, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon, and there to be examined touching the premises, and to do and receive what shall then and there be considered of you in that behalf, and this you shall in nowise omit.
Witness: His Honor Christopher William Richmond, Esquire, Judge of our Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Invercargill, this first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
