ESTIMATE OF THE COST OF VARIOUS WORKS PROPOSED TO BE EXECUTED ON GREAT NORTH ROAD, BETWEEN THE ORETI, AT MILEAN'S, AND WALACECROWN.

The dimensions assumed are — For pitching; 20 feet wide, 9 inches deep in centre, 5 inches at sides—23 cubic yards per chain; gravel, 22 feet wide, 6 inches deep—27 cubic yards per chain.

1st. From Oreti for 70 chains to southward; limestone for pitching to be obtained north end of centre bush; average lead, 200 chains.
