PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS, by section 3 of the “Moeraki Harbour Board Ordinance, 1875,” it is provided that the Superintendent of Otago, shall by, and with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, appoint the members of the Moeraki Harbour Board by proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, acting by, and with the consent and advice of my Executive Council, and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinance, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, proclaim, and appoint the following gentleman to be members of the Moeraki Harbour Board namely:
George Murray, of Ravenswood, Settler,
William L. Leggall, of Moeraki, "
James Donaldson, of Hampden, "
Andrew McKerrow, " "
James Findlay, " "
William Murcoff, " "
Joseph Reid, of Bremner,

CLOSING ROADS.
NOTICE is hereby given that objections having been lodged with me against the shutting up of certain road lines included in the Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875, situate in the Road Districts of Makarewa, Otepopo, Peninsula, Shotover, Waipori, and Waitahuna East, a special meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Thursday, the 17th day of February, at noon, for the purpose of deciding the said objections, when parties interested are invited to attend.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Act Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on or before the third day of February, 1876.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Dunedin.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 14th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

SCHEDULE.
Daniel Scully and William McLeod, for 4 acres of land more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Sand Hills.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Act Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

In conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Act Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless the applicant shall have valid objections against granting such lease.

BYE-LAWS of the Mornington Road District,
duly made in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in “The Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” “Amendment Ordinance, 1874,” “The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and “The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1872,” and passed at a meeting of the Mornington Road Board, held in the Mornington Road District on the sixteenth day of December, 1875, intituled, “Bye-laws to provide for the order and good government of the Mornington Road District:—
- It shall not be lawful for any person to wheel, lead, drive, or ride in any dray, cart, carriage, or other vehicle upon any road within the district unless such vehicle shall be provided with efficient breaks.
