NOTICE.

THE North Taieri Road Board intend, at their
meeting on Monday, 6th December, to make a
general rate of One Shilling in the £ on the full nett
annual value of all rateable property within the District
for the Year ending 30th June, 1876.

A statement of the proposed rate is open for inspec-
tion at the School-house, Mosgiel. Objections, if any, to
the rate must be lodged with me, in writing, within 30
days from date of this notice.

Objections to be decided at said meeting, Monday, 6th
December, at half-past 7 p.m.

NORTH EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.

TENDERS will be received for the following
Works:—

No 8.—Supplying 300 cubic yards of 2½in. Metal
and other Repairs on No. 5 Road, Pine Hill.
No. 9.—Supplying about 135 cubic yards of 3in.
Road Metal and other Repairs on New Road,
Pine Hill.
No. 10.—Forming a Footpath 6ft. wide, and building
two Culverts at Rothesay Township.
No. 11.—Supplying about 50 cubic yards of 3in.
Road Metal, and other Repairs at Ravens-
bourne.

Specifications and Tender forms for Nos. 8 and 9, at
Cattle Market Hotel, North East Valley, and for Nos.
10 and 11, at Mr Bacon's Boot Shop, Octagon.

Tenders can be left at the Valley School-house, on or
before the 11th December, at 2 p.m., and the lowest or
any tender not necessarily accepted by the Board.

The work at Ravensbourne and Rothesay will be shown
on Wednesday, the 8th December, at 10.30 a.m.

HALFWAY BUSH ROAD BOARD.

Notice to Ratepayers in Whare Flat Sub-division.
THE Collector will be at the Schoolhouse, Whare
Flat, on Saturday, 4th December, from 10 to 3, for
the collection Rates.

KURI BUSH ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE.—Tenders will be received by the under-
signed, until noon of Saturday, 27th November,
1875, for certain works from Main South Road to Guth-
rie's Bridge. Intending tenderers to meet at Mr Grieve's
at noon on Friday, 26th November, when the work will
be pointed out to them. Specifications to be seen at the
Schoolhouse, Otakia.

The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or
any tender.

TUTURAU ROAD DISTRICT.

THE Tuturau Road Board hereby give notice that
they have this day made a General Rate of One
Shilling in the £ on all rateable property within the
District for the Year ending 30th June, 1876.

A copy of the Rate Book for the Wairakika Sub-
division may be seen at the house of Messrs. Watt and
M'Artney; for the Marairua Subdivision, at the house
of Mr. A. M. Shanks; and for the Waikana Subdivision
at the store of Messrs. M'Gibbon and Sons, Mataura.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

I HEREBY give Notice to the ratepayers in the
Anderson's Bay, North East Harbor, Tomahawk,
and Highcliffe Subdivisions of the Peninsula Road
Board, that the general rate of one shilling (1s.) in the
£ is now due, and must be paid to me, before 1st
December, 1875.

GREY ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that the Grey Road Board,
at its Meeting on Monday, the 6th December,
intend to levy a general rate of one shilling in the £ on
all rateable property within the Otakia Subdivision of
the above District, the rate roll may be inspected at
Greytown School-house.

Objections, in writing, must be lodged with the under-
signed, before said date.

THE Waipori Road Board intend at their meeting on
Saturday, 4th December, 1875, to make a General
Rate of Sixpence (6d) in the £, on the full net annual
value of all rateable property within the District, for the
year ending 30th June, 1876.

The Rate Book, containing the several valuations of
property in the District, can be seen at the School House,
Lake Waipori.

Objections (if any) must be lodged with the Clerk, in
writing, on or before the 1st December, 1875.

HAWKSBURY.

BYE-LAWS AND REGULATIONS of the District of Hawks-
bury, made under the authority of the "Highway
Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and the "Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871, Amended Ordinance, 1874."

Any person—

  1. Removing any stone, timber, earth, or gravel from
    any Road without permission from the Board; or
  2. Throwing or depositing any rubbish, dirt, stones,
    firewood, or any other matter, upon any road, cal-
    culated to injure the same; or
  3. Erecting without permission of the Board any
    fence, making any crossing, drawing any sledge,
    timber, or other material upon any road in such a
    way as to injure the same;
