THE Seaside Road Board intend, at their meeting on Saturday, the 18th September next, to levy a general road rate of 1s per £ on the full nett annual value of all rateable property within the District, for the year ending 30th June, 1876.

DRAINAGE MACHINES.—Notice is hereby given to competitors who have signified their intention to compete for the prizes offered by the Provincial Council for approved Drainage Machines, as advertised in Provincial Government Gazette of the 24th February last, that the competition will take place in Tokomairiro plain on Thursday, the 30th inst.
The exact locality will be made known in a future advertisement.

DRAINAGE MACHINE COMPETITION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the competition of Drainage Machines for the prizes offered by the Provincial Council, will be held at Springfield farm, about one mile from Milton, on Thursday, the 30th instant.

FRESH TENDER FOR DISTRICT GAOLS.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Lands and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, 5th October, 1875, for the erection of Gaols (in stone or brick) at Naseby, Clyde, and Arrowtown.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Inspector of Buildings, Dunedin, and Police Camps, Naseby, Clyde, and Arrowtown, on and after the 28th inst.
Tenders to be indorsed, "Tender for Gaol at Clyde," "Naseby," or "Arrowtown," as the case may be.
The Government do not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 19th October, for
Contract No. 1060—Construction of two floating stages for Kaitangata punt.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Balclutha.
Tenders to be indorsed "Tender for Contract No. 1060."
The Government do not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

THE Kaikorai Road Board intend at their meeting on Tuesday October 5th to make a general rate of one shilling in the £ on the full net annual value of rateable property within the District for the year ending June 30, 1876.
The proposed rate can be seen at Ross' Commercial Hotel, Green Island, until the above date.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general district rate of one shilling in the £ was made on the 18th instant for the year ending 30th June, 1876.
The rate book may be seen at the house of the undersigned. Ratepayers having any objection to the above assessment, are informed that the Board will meet within the School-house, Brighton, on Monday, 18th October next, at noon, for the purpose of hearing and disposing of appeals against valuation made for the year ending 30th June, 1876.
