THE statutory half-yearly meeting of the Education Board will be held at the Government Offices, Dunedin upon Monday, the 5th July, at noon.

TEACHERS' EXAMINATION.

A N examination of candidates for certificates of the third class, (under the Otago Education Board's Regulations) will be held at the Education Office, Dunedin, on Thursday and Friday the 8th and 9th July, next at ten o'clock a.m.

Intending competitors must forward their names to me on or before the 1st July.

An examination of Candidates for certificates of the second class, will be held about the middle of December next. Copies of the Board's Regulations may be obtained on application.

BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL, DUNEDIN.

THE second half of the session will begin on Monday, 19th July. Fee for Day School, £2 per quarter, payable in advance. Prospectuses may be obtained on application.

BOARDING DEPARTMENT.

THE Rectory, which occupies one of the finest situations in Dunedin, and is surrounded by extensive recreation grounds, has been specially fitted up for the accommodation of Boarders. The rooms are lofty, light, and well-ventilated, and everything has been arranged with a view to the health and comfort of the pupil.

The Boarders are under the direct control of the Rector, who, with the assistance of a well-qualified resident Master, superintends the preparation of lessons at home.

The domestic arrangements are under the management of Mrs. NORRIE.

The terms for Board, Washing, and Superintendence of Studies, are £40 per school session. The fees are paid quarterly in advance. One quarter's notice is required on the removal of a pupil.
