MOUNT STUART DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that the above Board in-
tends to form a road line on part of section 219,
block XXVII, Tokomairiro District, and also a road line
on part of section 223, block XXVII, Tokomairiro Dis-
trict, said roads to be 60 links wide; and under the
authority and powers vested in the Board as per High-
way Boards Empowering Act and Lands Consolidation
Act. The plans of the above road can be seen by any per-
sons interested for forty days from the date at the house
of Mr. Jasper Clark, Tokomairiro, between the hours of
10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and any persons affected by the
above are required to state their objections in writing,
and forward them to the Board within forty days from
this date; and the Board will meet to hear and decide
upon objections on Wednesday, the 18th day of August
1875, at noon.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an open Court
for the Revision of the Citizen's List for Dunedin
City Year 1875-6, and for hearing and determining the
claims of Citizens to be inserted in such lists, and the
objections of Citizens to any other Citizen having his
name retained thereon, will sit at the City Council
Chambers, Manse street, Dunedin, on Monday, the 12th
July, 1875, at 12 o'clock noon.

CORPORATION OF INVERCARGILL.
In the matter of the Invercargill Gas Loan Act, 1874.
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Town
Council of Invercargill will be held in the Council
Hall, Kelvin-street, Invercargill, on Thursday, the 24th
day of June next, at the hour of 7 o'clock in the evening
for the purpose of considering a proposal to borrow and
take up at interest a certain sum of money, pursuant
to the authority and under the provisions of the above-
named Act, and the amount of such proposed loan,
the rate of interest to be paid in respect of such loan,
the times, and places at which it is intended to be applied, the
interest due upon the several debentures shall be payable
and the amount of the special rate which it is proposed shall
be the security for the loan are set forth and expressed
in the proposed resolution hereinafter contained. And
notice is hereby further given that at such meeting of the
Town Council, the following resolution for borrowing
money as aforesaid will be submitted to and considered
by the Council, that is to say—Resolved that this Council
do forthwith, or as soon as practicable, under the pro-
visions of the "Invercargill Gas Loan, Act, 1874," and
of the provisions of the "Municipal Corporations Act,
1867," and the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,
Amendment Act, 1872," as are incorporated with the
first named Act, borrow and take up at interest on the
credit of a special rate to be made under the said Acts the
sum of eight thousand pounds, and that the rate of in-
terest which shall be paid in respect of the said loan
shall be six pounds per centum per annum, and that the
proceeds of the said loan shall be applied to the purposes
of defraying the costs, charges, and expenses of purchas-
ing plant and machinery for gas works, and for defraying
the costs, charges, and expenses of procuring a site for and
erecting thereon the said gas works and plant, and for
defraying all other costs, charges, and expenses in or
about or incidental to the erection and completion of the
said gas works and plant, and laying and fixing the
pipes and all other necessary appliances in the town of
Invercargill. And that the said loan shall be borrowed
upon debentures for sums of fifty pounds each, and that
the principal due upon such debentures shall be payable
in Invercargill aforesaid, or Sydney, or Melbourne, or
London, at the option of the holder thereof, and shall be
payable at the expiration of fifteen years from the issue
thereof, and that one-third thereof shall be redeemable at
the end of five years, one third thereof at the end of ten
years, and the residue thereof at the expiration of the
said fifteen years, and the interest due upon the said
debentures shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st days
of January and July, in every year, at Invercargill afore-
said, or Sydney, or Melbourne, or London, at the option
of the holder thereof, and that interest coupons be
annexed to the said debentures. And that the said loan
shall be secured upon a special rate to be made under
the provisions of the said acts, of sixpence in the pound
of the assessment of the rateable property subject to the
special rate.

SUPREME COURT.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that a sitting of the Su-
preme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and
Civil Business, will be held at the Supreme Court
at Dunedin, on Monday, the 5th day of July next, at the
hour of 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at which time and
place all persons bound by recognizances, or otherwise,
to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or wit-
nesses, are required to give their attendance.
PUBLIC NOTICE.
Under Section 1, of Regulation IV.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the
portion of the Otago Gold Field, described in the
Schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of
an inferior character, and regards the value of its gold de-
posits: Now, therefore, I hereby give notice, that the
same may be occupied by holders of Miners' Rights in
claims of the undermentioned size:—
One (1) acre for each holder of a Miner's Right,
provided that no block of claim shall comprise
more than six (6) acres altogether.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field, situate
within the district known as the Mount Ida District, not
already declared to be open for occupation in claims of
one acre for each holder of a miner's right. The general
boundaries of the district are as follows, viz.:—Com-
mencing at Mount St. Bathan, thence by the Dunstan
