Superintendent may from time to time appoint, shall be, and are hereby appointed, the Board of Wardens for the said Cromwell District, as the same is described in the Schedule to the said regulations of the 23rd day of June, 1868, and shall have all the powers conferred on Boards of Wardens by the Depasturing Regulations of the 23rd day of June and the 6th day of October, 1868 respectively.

The Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Cromwell shall be the Chairman of the Board of Wardens, and shall have a casting vote in cases of equality.

The Receiver of Revenue at Cromwell for the time being shall be and is hereby appointed to carry out the said Depasturing Regulations in the said Cromwell district.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act, and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objection against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown, on or before the 2nd day of July, 1875.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office, at Queenstown.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 21st day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

SCHEDULE.

William Shore, on behalf of the Butcher's Gully Quartz Mining Company, for 15 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Butcher's Gully.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Lewis Harris, on behalf of the Imperial Gold Mining Company, for 15 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Butcher's Creek.

In the matter of the "Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and of an Order made by the Makarewa Road Board, for opening up a Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order made by the Makarewa Road Board, on the 3rd day of April, 1875, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 956, on the 14th day of April, 1875, for the opening up and through section 16, Block V., Winton Hundred, and thence through the Limehill Township to the Main Lake Road, has this day been confirmed by me.

Dated at Dunedin, this 15th day of June, 1875.

NO Person shall take, kill or pursue, or use any dog, gun, net, or other engine, for the purpose of taking, killing, or pursuing any Game, until such person shall have taken out a license to kill game under this Act, and paid the duty hereby made payable thereon; and if any person shall offend against the provisions of this Section, he shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds.β€”Section 16 of the "Protection of Animals Act, 1873."

The above License can be obtained at the Provincial Treasury, Dunedin, where above license fees will be received, and license issued.
