PROCLAMATION
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superin-
tendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by section 10 of the "Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874,"
it is provided that if from any cause whatever the per-
sons entitled to vote at any election for any district or
for any subdivision of any district, shall fail or neglect
to hold an election of members of the District Board of
such district on the day appointed by the said Ordinance
for that purpose, it shall be lawful for the Superintendent,
by proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a day for the
holding of such election.
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, by virtue of the power and
authority vested in me by the said section, and of every
power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and appoint Thursday, the 29th day of
July, 1875, to be the day for holding an election of one
member of the Aparima Road Board for the Mount
Pleasant subdivision of the said Road Board.

[The following Proclamation of land being set
apart for occupation on deferred payments is re-
published in consequence of an error in the Procla-
mation published in the Provincial Government
Gazette of the 19th May, 1875.—]
PROCLAMATION.
Setting apart 7000 Acres of Land in the Herriot
Hundred near Tapanui for occupation on deferred
payments.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superin-
tendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," it is enacted
that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with
the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to
set apart in any part of the Province, districts or
blocks of land within which licenses to occupy land
and leases thereof on deferred payments may be
granted either exclusively or within which the land
shall be open for license or lease on deferred payment
or for sale on immediate payment.
And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province
of Otago has recommended the Superintendent of
the said Province to set apart the lands hereinafter
specified for alienation on deferred payments:
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superin-
tendent of the Province of Otago, and by with the
advice and consent of the Provincial Council as afore-
said, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the
powers conferred upon me by "The Otago Waste
Lands Act, 1872," and of every or any power in this
behalf enabling me, proclaim, declare, and set apart
sections 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 16, Block
VII.; sections 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20,
22, and 25, Block VIII.; and sections 1, 3, 5 and 6,
Block IX., Crookston Survey District; also sec-
tions 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, and 17, Block IX.,
Greenvale Survey District; as blocks of land to be
open for license or lease as aforesaid; and I do fur-
ther by virtue of the aforesaid powers proclaim and
declare that those sections numbered respectively
3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 16, Block VII., sections
4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 22, and 25,
Block VIII., and sections 1, 3, 5, and 6, Block IX.,
Crookston Survey District; also sections 1, 2, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 15, 16, and 17, Block IX., Greenvale Survey
District, on the map of the said Districts, will be
open on the 6th day of July, 1875, for application for
license and lease on deferred payment, as provided in
"The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Provincial Government Buildings, Dunedin,
the 26th day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five. Present—His
Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superin-
tendent, Donald Reid and George Turnbull,
Esquires.
WHEREAS, by Proclamation bearing date the 23rd
day of June, 1868, made by the Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said Province, and published
in the Otago Provincial Gazette, No. 553, under the hand
of the said Superintendent of the Province of Otago, and
under the public seal of the said Province, certain regula-
tions were made for the depasturing of stock upon the
Waste Lands of the Crown within the Otago Gold Field:
And whereas, by Proclamation bearing date the 6th day
of October, 1868, made by the Superintendent of the
Province of Otago as aforesaid, and published in the
Otago Provincial Gazette, No. 572 as aforesaid, the regu-
lations of the 23rd day of June, 1868, were altered and
amended: And whereas, it is expedient to further amend
the said regulations, so far as they relate to the Cromwell
District:
Now, therefore, His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire,
Superintendent of the said Province of Otago, with the ad-
vice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Pro-
vince, doth, by virtue and in exercise of the powers dele-
gated to the Executive Government of the Province of Otago
in that behalf, hereby revoke the regulations numbered
2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the said regulations so made and pub-
lished on the 23rd day of June, 1868, and regulation num-
bered 23 of the said regulations so made and published
on the 6th day of October, 1868, so far only as the same
apply to the said Cromwell District, and doth make the
regulations following in lieu thereof as regards the said
Cromwell District (that is to say):—

ration of Cromwell for the time being, and James Daw-
