NOTICE is hereby given that section 29, Block II,
Maungatua District, containing 52a. 2r. will be
offered for sale by Public Auction at Capstick, Duthie,
and Co.'s. Auction Room, Milton, Tokomairiro, on Wed-
nesday, the first day of September, 1875, at noon, at the
upset price of 21s. per acre.

LAND ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following applica-
tion to occupy land on deferred payments has been
received at this office.

Sections 52 and 53, of Block III, Tuapeka West Dis-
trict, Thomas Michelmas Darton.

Monday the 28th day of June, 1875, at 2 o'clock p.m.,
has been appointed the time for deciding the above ap-
plication (if unopposed), and for notifying the objections
(if any) that may have been lodged.

TEACHERS' EXAMINATION.

AN examination of candidates for certificates of the
third class, (under the Otago Education Board's Re-
gulations) will be held at the Education Office, Dunedin,
on Thursday and Friday the 8th and 9th July next, at
ten o'clock a.m.

Intending competitors must forward their names to me
on or before the 1st July.

An examination of Candidates for certificates of the
second class, will be held about the middle of December
next. Copies of the Board's Regulations may be obtained

BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL, DUNEDIN.

THE second half of the session will begin on Monday,
19th July. Fee for Day School, £2 per quarter,
payable in advance. Prospectuses may be obtained on
application.

BOARDING DEPARTMENT,
The Rectory, which occupies one of the finest
situations in Dunedin, and is surrounded by extensive
recreation grounds, has been specially fitted up for
the accommodation of Boarders. The rooms are lofty,
light, and well-ventilated, and everything has been
arranged with a view to the health and comfort of the
pupil.

The Boarders are under the direct control of the
Rector, who, with the assistance of a well-qualified
resident Master, superintends the preparation of lessons
at home.
The domestic arrangements are under the management
of Mrs. NORRIE.
The terms for Board, Washing, and Superintendence
of Studies, are £40 per school session. The fees are paid
quarterly in advance. One quarter's notice is required
on the removal of a pupil.
The Prospectuses will be furnished by the Rector,
and

GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL, DUNEDIN.

THE second half of the session will begin on Monday,
19th July. Fee for Junior Classes £2, and for
Senior Classes £2 10s., per quarter, payable in advance.

APPLICATIONS are invited for the Office of Head
Master of the Invercargill Grammar School.
Salary, £400 per annum, and free house.
Particulars regarding the school and the appointment
can be obtained at the Education Office, Dunedin.
Each applicant to state when he will be prepared (if
chosen) to enter upon the duties of the office.
Applications to be addressed to the Chairman of the
School Committee, Invercargill, by whom they will be
received up to the 28th June next.

DUNEDIN DISTRICT SCHOOL.

THE Committee invite applications with testimonials,
until Wednesday, 9th June, for a duly qualified
Matron for the Albany-street School. Salary: Govern-
ment grant of £75, and a proportion of the fees, amoun-
ting to a total of £150 per annum. Duties to commence
on the 1st July.
