Appointment of a Ranger for the Acclimatization Society
of Otago.
NOTICE is hereby given that His Honor the Su-
perintendent, in exercise of the power vested in
him by Section 31 of the "Protection of Animals Act,
1873," has appointed
MR. MATTHEW SMITH,
West Taieri, to be a Ranger for the Acclimatization
Society of Otago, in terms of the said section 31 of the
"Protection of Animals Act, 1873."

NOTICE TO ROAD BOARDS.

ATTENTION is requested to the Circular from this
office, dated 31st May last, calling for a return of
rates collected, general and special, distinguishing each,
by Road Boards during the years ended 30th June,
1871-2-3 and 4, as well as all other receipts, if any, during
the same period.
This return is urgently required by the Provincial
Government.

Construction of Stone and Timber Bridge over
Hogburn, at Naseby.

Dunedin, and at the District Engineer's Office, Naseby.

The Government does not undertake to accept the

RUN 461.—1st OCTOBER, 1875.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease for ten years
of Run 461, containing 2000 acres, will be offered
for Sale by Public Auction, at the Survey office, Clyde,
on the 1st day of October next, at noon, in terms of the
"Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," and especially the
144th clause of that Act, at the upset price or premium of
a half-penny per acre. Rental to be an assessment of 3s.
6d. for every head of great cattle, or 7d. for every head
of small cattle, on the number to be hereafter deter-
mined by an assessor, to be appointed by the Waste
Land Board, of the stock-carrying capacities of the Run.
The Lease to commence on the 1st day of October, 1875.
The deposit of one-tenth of the purchase money shall be
payable at the fall of the hammer, the balance within
a month of date of sale.
