TEACHERS' EXAMINATION.

AN examination of candidates for certificates of the third class, (under the Otago Education Board's Regulations) will be held at the Education Office, Dunedin, on Thursday and Friday the 8th and 9th July next, at ten o'clock a.m.

Intending competitors must forward their names to me on or before the 1st July.

An examination of candidates for certificates of the second class, will be held about the middle of December next. Copies of the Board's Regulations may be obtained on application.

APPLICATIONS are invited for the Office of Head Master of the Invercargill Grammar School. Salary, £400 per annum, and free house.

Particulars regarding the school and the appointment can be obtained at the Education Office, Dunedin.

Each applicant to state when he will be prepared (if chosen) to enter upon the duties of the office.

Applications to be addressed to the Chairman of the School Committee, Invercargill, by whom they will be received up to the 28th June next.

DUNEDIN DISTRICT SCHOOL.

THE Committee invite applications with testimonials, until Wednesday, 9th June, for a duly qualified Matron for the Albany-street School. Salary: Government grant of £75, and a proportion of the fees, amounting to a total of £150 per annum. Duties to commence on the 1st July.

WANTED for the North School Oamaru, a duly qualified Assistant Teacher. Salary, £150 per annum. Applications, with testimonials, will be received up to the 5th July, and applicants must state when they can enter upon their duties.

TEACHER wanted for the side School at Owake Flat, Catlin's River. Salary: Government grant, and School fees. To a suitable person this will be a good opening. Applications with testimonials will be received by the undersigned until the 23rd June.

GLASGOW LOGAN

TEACHER wanted for Waiareka School, four miles from Oamaru. Salary: £75 and School fees, with comfortable five-roomed house. There are 54 scholars on the roll, and a steady increase is certain. Applications with testimonials will be received till 24th June by the undersigned.

NOTICE is hereby given, that meetings of Ratepayers entitled to vote in the above District will be held in the undermentioned places on Thursday, the 17th June 1875, at noon, for the purpose of nominating a member for each Subdivision to serve on the Board for the ensuing year:—

Saddle Hill Sub-division,—in the Athenaeum, Riccarton. Robert Somerville, Returning Officer.
Otakia Sub-division,—in the Schoolhouse, Greytown. James Cullen, Returning Officer.

HALF-WAY BUSH ROAD BOARD.

A MEETING of Ratepayers entitled to vote in the subdivisions of Waikari and Flagstaff, will be held as below, for the nomination of members to serve in the place of R. Rossbotham, Esq., Waikari Subdivision, and John Campbell, junr., Esq., Flagstaff Subdivision, who retire by rotation.

Nomination at Waikari Schoolhouse, Monday, May 31st, at 12 noon.

Flagstaff,—Tuesday June 1st, at 12 noon.

In the event of more than one person being proposed for the said vacancies, the day of polling will be Thursday, June 10th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
