Objections must be lodged at least 24 hours before noon, on Wednesday, the 17th inst., at the Land Office, Invercargill, when and where the above applications will be decided. The ballot for those sections covered by more than one application will be held the following day at 12 o’clock.

EDUCATION MEETINGS.
In consequence of no School Committee having been elected for the following mentioned districts on the 11th of January, His Honor the Superintendent has appointed a meeting of the Owners and Occupiers of land and Householders of each district, to be held in the Schoolhouse, on Monday, April 5th, at 7 o’clock p.m., to elect a School Committee for the current year.

- Portobello - Long Bush - Groper’s Bush
- Mount Cargill

APPLICATIONS are invited for the situation of Master and Mistress for the Alexandra School. Salaries £200 and £100 per annum, with first class residences. A married couple, qualified to teach music and other accomplishments, preferred.
