COALS

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, the 26th inst., for the supply and delivery of 800 tons best Newcastle screened coal.

The coal may be delivered in two or three cargoes; the first lot shall be delivered within eight weeks from the date of the acceptance of the tender, and the balance at such times as shall maintain a proper supply, the consumption being about 80 tons per month. The coal will be delivered by the contractor in the railway trucks at Bluff Harbour.

The pit certificate will be taken as to quantity, and no division of the cargo will be allowed. Tenderer to state the pit the coals will be taken from.

The Government will not be bound to accept any tender.

that at a Meeting of the Pioneer Water Race and Gold Mining Co., Registered, held at Maerewhenua, February 6, 1875, Francis Thomas was appointed Legal Manager, in the room of Mr. John M’Donald, resigned.

Section 65, Sub-section 1.

TENTH SCHEDULE.

District of Clyde, Blacks, January 19, 1875.

To the District Land Officer at Clyde.

I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that I intend to construct a Water Race for irrigation and domestic purposes, commencing at a point on Spottis Creek, eastern branch thereof, in section 13, block I., Tiger Hill, passing through sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 54, and 3, of said block, and terminating on section 1 of same block, being part of my farm.

The length of such race is four miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is south.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is four feet by one, and it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of water, as the same is delineated on the plan of block I., Tiger Hill.

Any person objecting to the issue of a License to the above-named Applicant, must lodge his objection in writing at my office within fourteen clear days from the date hereof.

Section 65, Sub-section 1.

TENTH SCHEDULE.

District of Mount Ida, January 15, 1875.

To the District Land Officer at Naseby.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water Race for irrigation, farming, and domestic purposes, commencing at a point about a quarter of a mile on the right hand side of the road from Naseby to Eden Creek and from Eweburn Creek, and terminating at section No. 4, Eweburn Agricultural Block.

The length of such race is three miles, or thereabouts, and its intended course is about north and south through the Mount Ida Pastoral Investment Company’s and M. E. A. Chapman’s runs.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is 2 feet by 3 feet, and it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water.

District of Switzers, 1st February, 1875.

To the District Land Officer at Switzers.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water Race, for turning a saw-mill wheel, commencing at a point at the junction of the right and left hand branches of the Winding Creek, and terminating in the creek above the head of Wilkie’s race.

The length of such water race is 75 yards, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is one by two feet, and it is capable of carrying five heads of water.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Circuit Court sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of criminal and civil business will be holden in the Court House, at Lawrence, on Thursday, the 16th day of March next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances or otherwise to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses are required to give their attendance.
