CLUTHA ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general rate of one shilling in the £, and a special rate of threepence in the £, were made by the Board on the 28th instant, in pursuance of notice given.

The Collector will make a personal call on or about the 31st December next, on those ratepayers whose rates are then outstanding; after which legal proceedings will be taken against them without further notice.

CORPORATION OF PORT CHALMERS.

PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that the Valuator’s Assessment for the year 1874 has been submitted and allowed, is now deposited, and may be inspected by persons interested therein at the Town Clerk’s office, Currie-street, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

It is also further notified that appeals against the assessment may be lodged with the undersigned until the 10th day of December proximo. The appellant must also lodge a copy of his appeal with the Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court six clear days before the day appointed for hearing such appeals.

ENGROSSING &c.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Land, and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday 15th December 1874, for engrossing Crown Grants during the year 1875, at per folio, and placing marginal plans on same at per plan.

Every information will be given on application at the Crown Grant office, Dunedin.

TENDERS Wanted for fencing the Portobello cemetery. Specifications can be seen at the houses of Messrs William Leslie and Nicholas Coneys, Portobello, with whom the tenders will be left on or before the 18th December. Mr. Coneys will show the work. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
