NOTICE

Of certain land at Balclutha, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a site for a Town Hall.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for a site for a Town Hall; and it is expedient that the said lands should so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for a site for a Town Hall, that is to say,

Section 15, Block VI., Balclutha.

NOTICE

Of certain land at Cromwell, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as municipal reserves for the Town of Cromwell.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as Municipal reserve for the Town of Cromwell: and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described Municipal reserves for the Town of Cromwell: (that is to say)

Sections 4, 11, and 13, block LXVII; 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, and 13, block LII; 6, 13, and 14, block LIII; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, block LVI; 1, 2, 3, 4, block LVII; 1 and 2, block LXXIX; 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, and 16, block L; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, block XII; 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, block LXXVII; 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, block XXXV; also all that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement a total area of 7 acres, 3 roods, and 36 poles, more or less, situate in the Town of Cromwell, comprising reserve at the junction of Down street with Melmore Terrace, and numbered block LXXXVIII: bounded towards the north-west by Down street, three hundred and sixty-two links; towards the north-east by Gavan street, three hundred and sixty-five links; towards the south-east by Melmore Terrace, four hundred and forty-nine links; together with sections numbered respectively 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, block XI; bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered respectively 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, five hundred links; towards the north-east by Gavan street, two hundred links; towards the south-east by section numbered 1, one hundred links; again towards the north-east by the said section 1, two hundred and fifty links; again towards the south-east by Down street, four hundred links; and towards the south-west by Derry street, four hundred and fifty links: together with sections 13 and 14, block XIII, bounded towards the north-west by Monaghan street, two hundred and fifty links; towards the north-east by Inniscourt street, two hundred links; towards the south-east by section numbered 12, two hundred and fifty links; and towards the south-west by sections numbered respectively 6 and 7, two hundred links; together with sections 8, 9, 10, block XIV, bounded towards the north-west by section numbered 11, two hundred and fifty links; towards the north-east by Inniscourt street, three hundred links; towards the south-east by Monaghan street, two hundred and fifty links; and towards the south-west by sections numbered respectively 5, 6, and 7, three hundred links.

Of certain lands at St. Bathans, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a Cemetery Reserve.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a public Cemetery, and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as a public cemetery: (that is to say)

All that area in the Province of Otago, Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situate in the St. Bathans District, being section numbered 9, block II, on the map of the said district: bounded towards the north-east by Crown lands, two hundred and twenty-six and a-half links; towards the south-east by Crown lands, four hundred and forty-one and a-half links; towards the south-west by Crown lands, two hundred and twenty-six and a-half links; and towards the north-west by Crown lands, four hundred and forty-one and a-half links.

Dated at Dunedin this 10th day of November, 1874.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for a Mechanic’s Institute, township of Herbert; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the land hereinafter described as a site for a Mechanic’s Institute: (that is to say)

All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by measurement 1 rood, situated in the Township of Herbert, being section numbered on the map of the said district; bounded towards the north-west by Crown street, two hundred and twenty-six links; towards the north-east by Gavan street, two hundred links; towards the south-east by section numbered 1, one hundred links; again towards the north-east by said section 1, two hundred and fifty links; again towards the south-east by Down street, four hundred links; and towards the south-west by Derry street, four hundred and fifty links; together with sections 13 and 14, block XIII.
