WANTED, for the Boys’ High School, Dunedin, a thoroughly Competent English Master. The salary will consist of £300 per annum, and one-twelfth of the School fees. The School is about to be reorganised; and it is expected the supplement from the fees will reach £100.

Plans will be seen till the 20th current at the Education Office and at the house of Mr. James S. Reid, Beaconsfield, by Blueskin.
TO CARPENTERS—Tenders wanted for addition to Green Island School Residence. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Education Office, Dunedin, where tenders will be received till the 16th current, at noon.
Also, for an additional Class-room to Outram School. Plans, &c., may be seen at the Education Office till the 10th, and at Outram School till the 16th current. Tenders will be received till the 16th current by Mr. John Grant, clerk to the School Committee, Outram.
PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Road Rate of One Shilling per £ (nett annual value) on all rateable property in the District was made by the Road Board on the 3rd inst.
APPLICATIONS FOR CROWN LANDS.
DEFERRED PAYMENTS.
It is Notified for public information that applications may now be made at any Land Office, for Land situated in any Land District, under the deferred payment clauses of the Act.
The Land now remaining open for Sale on deferred payments is situated as follows:—
At Hyde, 1,137 acres
At Ida Valley, 1,232 acres
At Waipahi, 1,612 acres
At Teviot, 1,526 acres
At Macraes, 2,400 acres
At Toetoes, 761 acres
At Lake Wakatipu, 663 acres
At Glenkenich, 44 acres
At Lake Hawea, 1,500 acres
At M’Nab’s, 276 acres
At Tuapeka, 4,493 acres; but of this last area 2400 acres are withheld from application, pending the definition of the Railway.
Copies of the pamphlet giving the substance of the conditions may be obtained at any Land Office.
WANTED, an Assistant Teacher for the North District School, Oamaru. Salary, £160 per annum. One able to teach Music will have preference.

Or. 22p., will be offered for sale by public auction, as land of special value, at Barr’s Hall, Balclutha, on Tuesday, the 1st day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of 42s. per acre.
