One brown gelding will be sold at the Leaning Rock, Clyde Pound,

Owner unknown, for trespassing on the Town Belt, for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the public Pound at South Dunedin, on Friday, the 10th day of July, 1874, at 12 o'clock noon.

Supposed to belong to P. Connolly, Hyde, for trespassing on Deep Dell Run, for which the sum of Three Shillings and Fourpence is claimed for trespass; and in default of being released, the above filly will be sold at the Public Pound at Maeraes, on Friday, the 3rd day of July, 1874, at twelve o'clock noon.

INCENDIARISM.

Maliciously Setting Fire to Three stacks of Wheat.

£100 REWARD.

And a Free Pardon to an Accomplice.

WHEREAS about 5 o'clock on the morning of the 12th instant, three stacks of Wheat situated at Waireka Valley, near Oamaru, the property of Messrs. Gifford and Clowes, value £100, were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed: And whereas the said fire is believed to have been the act of an incendiary:

Notice is hereby given, that a reward of £100 will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who will first give such information as will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like result.

Maliciously Setting Fire to Two Stacks of Oats.

£100 REWARD.

And a Free Pardon to an Accomplice.

WHEREAS about 8.30 o'clock on the night of the 7th instant, two stacks of Oats, situate at the Swineburn, in the Mount Ida District, the property of Joseph Preston, value £300, were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed; and whereas at an inquest held on the 11th inst., at the Swineburn, by A. H. Stratford, Esq., R.M., and Coroner, to inquire as to the origin of the said fire, the Jury returned the following verdict: That some person or persons did on the night of the 7th instant willfully and maliciously set the said stacks of Oats on fire:

Owner unknown, for trespassing on fenced land, for which five shillings damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above steer will be sold at the Public Pound at Lovell's Flat, on Friday, the 17th day of July, 1874, at 12 o'clock noon.
