Oamaru, the property of the New Zealand and Austral-
ian Land Company, value £180, was discovered on fire
And whereas the said fire is believed to have been the
act of an Incendiary :

Notice is hereby Given, that a reward of £100 will be
paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any per-
son who will first give such information as will lead to
the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by
whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the
Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an
accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the
fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like
result.

and One Stack of Oats.

And a Free Pardon to an Accomplice.

WHEREAS about 10 o’clock p.m. on the 2nd instant, three
stacks of wheat and one stack of oats, the pro-
perty of William M’Fadden, containing about 1,800
bushels of wheat, were destroyed by fire: And whereas
the said fire is believed to have been the work of an in-
cendiary:

Notice is hereby Given, that a reward of £100 will be
paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any per-
son who will first give such information as will lead to
the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by
whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the
Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an
accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the
fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like
result.

Deihl and Darraek, value £60, was discovered on fire, by
which the stack was destroyed: And whereas the said fire
is believed to have been the act of an incendiary:

Notice is hereby Given, that a reward of £100 will be
paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any per-
son who will first give such information as will lead to
the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by
whom the said fire was caused, and His Excellency the
Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an
accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the
fire, who will give such information as will lead to a like
result.

Note.—Messrs Brogden and Co. having the Contract for
the line of Railway on which these Bridges are
situated, the advantage of having one Contractor for the

preference to that of Messrs Allan and Stumbles, al-
though slightly under Messrs Brogden’s.

Increase in the Rate of Interest on Deposits in the Post
Office Savings Bank.

NOTICE is hereby given, that after the 30th day of
June instant, the interest allowed on every complete
pound deposited in the Post Office Savings Bank
will be increased from 4 to 4½ per centum per annum on
sums not exceeding £200, and from 3 to 4 per centum per
annum on sums over £200, and in the same proportion for
any shorter time: Provided that no interest shall be
allowed on sums over £500.
