PUBLIC Notice is hereby Given, that the Nomination of Candidates for election to the office of Councillor for Leith Ward, in room of Councillor John Barnes, resigned, will be declared on Friday, the 22nd May instant, at the terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, Water-street, at the hour of noon.
Nominations, in form of Schedule D of the Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865, may be lodged at the Town Clerk’s Office, Manse-street, where blank forms may be had, on or before noon of the day herein fixed for the declaration.

Owner unknown, for trespassing on Falls Station, for which 2s. trespass and 10s. driving expenses are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hayes Lake, on Friday, the 5th day of June, 1874, at twelve o’clock noon.

One chestnut saddle mare, white spot on forehead and white strip down nose.
If the above are not released, they will be sold at the Pound on the 29th May, 1874, at noon.
