TAIERI ROAD BOARD DISTRICT.

NOTICE.—A meeting of the ratepayers in the above-named district will be held, as under, on Wednesday, the 3rd day of June next, for the nomination of candidates for election for the Road Board:—

Taieri Subdivision: In the Athenæum, Riccarton.—George Prain, Returning Officer.

Breadalbane Subdivision: In Mr. John Smith’s house, North Taieri.—George Turnbull, Returning Officer.

Owhiro Subdivision: In the house of Mr. John Kirkland, East Taieri.—John Kirkland, Returning Officer.

In the event of a poll being demanded in any of the above subdivisions, the election will take place in the above-named places, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Thursday, the eleventh day of June, 1874.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

I.—30 yards best blue metal on road leading from Portobello road to Mr. T. Robertson’s, Tomahawk.

II.—Cutting and filling up on road leading to George Anderson’s, N. E. Harbor. Specifications to be seen at Mr. Anderson’s and work shown on Friday, 6th June, at noon.

Tenders for above to be sent in not later than Saturday, 6th June, at 12 noon. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

THE Lindhurst District Road Board having notified the intention of making an extension of a road-line in the Mabel Subdivision, passing through part of block XX XVI., and there being no objections to the proposed road extension, and the owners and occupiers of the block aforesaid having assented thereto, does hereby, under and by virtue of the thirty-third section of “The Highways Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and of “The Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” direct that the proposed road extension, as hereinbefore stated, shall be executed according to plans and specifications.

NOTICE to Make Fence.—To George Coupar, owner of section 27, block XII., Jacob’s River Hundred.—Take notice, that I desire that the boundary or separating fence between section 27 block XII. and section 26 block XII., Jacob’s River Hundred, be made immediately, and that said fence shall be a three-sod fence, with stakes for two wires and ditch on both sides.
