NOTICE is hereby given that Section 1 Block 1, Coast District, containing 51a 0r 18p will be offered for sale by public auction as land of special value at Barr’s Hall, Balclutha, at the upset price of £2 per acre. Sections 13 and remaining part of Section 7 and Block 37, Toko-mairiro, containing respectively 1a 2r 17p and 19a 0r 6p, at the upset price of £1 1s per acre, on Tuesday, the 2nd day of June next at noon.

BYE-LAWS passed by the Wardens of Oteramika Hundred, 9th May, 1874:—
-
That no cattle of any description shall be depastured on the Oteramika Hundred without a license.
-
That no entire horse over nine months old, and no bull over six months old, shall be depastured thereon.
-
That no person shall be allowed to depasture on the Oteramika Hundred more than one head of great cattle for every twenty acres, or one head of sheep for every one hundred acres, of land in his occupation.

That every license-holder shall, within fourteen days from the date of publication of these Bye-laws, furnish to the nearest Warden a statement of the number and description of stock depastured by him on the Hundred, with their brands, and acreage.

Before removing or slaughtering cattle, owners shall give notice in writing to the nearest Warden.

Any person about to bring cattle on the Hundred shall, one week before so doing, give notice to the nearest Warden, with such information as shall give opportunity for inspection.

All stray cattle may be impounded, and the Wardens shall not be responsible for any mistakes which may arise through cattle not bearing brands according to the Cattle Branding Ordinance.

The penalty for any breach of the foregoing Bye-laws shall be any sum not exceeding five pounds (£5) sterling.

NOTICE.—A meeting of ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held, to nominate candidates to represent the Abbots Hill and Abbotsford Subdivisions as per clauses 26 and 27, Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871. Abbots Hill Subdivision, at the Volunteer Hotel, on Thursday, 11th June, at noon; and in the event of a poll being demanded, will be held in the above place on Wednesday, 19th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: John Andrew, Returning Officer. Abbotsford Subdivision, in the Kaikorai Hotel on Thursday, 11th June, at noon; and in the event of a poll being demanded, will be held in the same place on Thursday, 18th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: Charles Sampson, Returning Officer.

NOTICE.—A meeting of ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held, to nominate candidates for election to represent the North Plain Subdivision and Wingatui Subdivision, as per clauses 26 and 27, Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871. North Plain Subdivision, at the school-house, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the above place on Friday, 19th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: Charles Waters, Returning Officer. Wingatui Subdivision, in the Drill-shed, Mosgiel, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the same place, on Saturday, 20th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.: William Couper, Returning Officer.

NORTH TAIERI ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that the above Board intend to form a road line on part sections 44, 45, and 46, irregular block 5, 6, and 12, block XIII, and 1, block V Taieri District; said road to be 100 links wide, and under the authority and powers vested in the Board, as per “Highway Boards Empowering Act,” together with the “Lands Consolidation Act.” The plan of the above road can be seen by any person interested for 40 days from this date, at the School House, Mosgiel, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; and any persons affected by the above are required to state their objections in writing, and forward to the Board within 40 days from this date; and the Board will meet to hear and decide upon objections (if any) on Monday the 6th day of July, 1874, at 7 p.m.
