PUBLIC NOTICE.
Under Section 1 of Regulation IV,
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Gold Field, described in the schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits:
Now, therefore, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the under-mentioned size:
(a) to each the holder of a miner’s right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six
(b) acres altogether.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field, situate at the east side of Hamilton road near Naseby, and comprising two acres more or less, bounded on the north by Smith and Co.’s extended claim, 70 yards; on the south by Cogan’s paddock, 70 yards; on the east by main gully, 130 yards; and on the west by Hamilton road, 130 yards.

IRISH TENDERS
Tenders will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Saturday, 26th July, 1873, for Contract No. 3 -- Supply and delivery of 3000 sleepers for Bluff and Invercargill Railway.
Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Railway Office, Invercargill.
Tenders to be endorsed -- “Tender for Contract No. 3.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any Tender.

TENDERS WANTED
By the Corstorphine Subdivision of the Suburban Road Board for spreading over 200 yards of metal, at per yard. Intending contractors will be shown the portions of the road on which the metal is to be spread, by Messrs. Thomson, Mclaren, and Dempster, on Friday, the 18th July, at 2 o’clock, at the bottom of the Church Hill, Green Island.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS FOR UNSURVEYED LAND
Under “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872”:
It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 16th day of July, 1873, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.
