SECRETARIES for Road Boards, and others recommending persons for appointments, must give the names of such persons in full.
ROAD BOARD.—In future it will not be necessary for Road Boards to prepay advertisements. The accounts will be rendered in January and July for the six preceding months. The charge for each advertisement will be stated in the Gazette.
SUBURBAN ROAD DISTRICT.
NOTICE.—The nomination and election of Members for this district will take place at noon on Thursday, 12th June, in Green Island Schoolhouse, for Corstorphine subdivision, and in Mr. David Andrew’s house, Green Island, for Green Island subdivision.

NOTICE.—A meeting of ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held to nominate candidates for election to represent the North Plain Subdivision and Wingatui Subdivision as per clause 26 and 27 Otago Roads Ordinance 1871. North Plain Subdivision, at the school-house, on Thursday, 12th June, at 12 noon; in the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the above place on Friday, 20th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. Robert Gibson, Returning officer. SEASIDE DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the abovenamed Road Board has appointed Thursday, 12th June, 1873, within the house of the late Hugh Williams, Esq., Brighton, at noon, for the Brighton Subdivision; and within the Schoolhouse, Saddle Hill, at noon, for the Walton Subdivision, as also the time and places for the election of a qualified person in each Subdivision of the Seaside Road District, to serve as members of the Seaside Road Board for the ensuing year. And further notice is hereby given that the said Road Board has nominated and appointed Mr Alfred Butler to preside at the Brighton Subdivision election, to do and perform all the acts required or directed to be done by the Otago Road Ordinance 1871 and amendment Ordinance 1872.

One red and white bull, no visible brands. Owners unknown, trespassing on private property; for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound.
