OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE 1871.
Alteration of Polling-Places.
WHEREAS by notice and appointment dated the sixteenth day of June, 1872, published in the Otago Provincial Gazette, the polling-places of the respective Provincial Council electoral districts and subdivisions of districts therein mentioned; and by virtue of the 'Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,' were duly fixed and appointed until the same shall be altered or varied; and whereas it is expedient that the polling-places in the subdivision of the district after-mentioned should be altered:
Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby revoke the appointment of the polling-places made for the subdivision of the district after-mentioned, and do hereby appoint that the places hereafter mentioned shall be the polling-places for the said subdivisions of the district after-mentioned; that is to say, the poll shall be taken at all elections under the said 'Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,' held for the same until duly altered or varied, of which notice is hereby given.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity to the 29th section of the 'Gold Fields Act 1866,' and to the Regulations made under that Act, and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869; for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown, on or before the 13th day of April, 1873.
Copy of the application made, and plan annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office at Queenstown.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 2nd day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

SCHEDULE.
John Power, on behalf of the Sons of Erin Co., for 10 acres of land, more or less as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants' claim, situate[d] at Junction Terrace, Lower Moonlight.

PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LAND TAKING ACT 1866.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, at its next session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily for the purpose of completing a road in the Waipori Road District, parts of sections numbered respectively forty-nine and fifty (49 and 50), block seven (7), Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; of the Province of Otago, aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-eight (28), block five (5), Portobello Survey District; of the Province of Otago aforesaid, also for the purpose of completing a road in the Portobello Road District, part of section numbered twenty-nine (29), block five (5) of the Portobello Survey District of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the North-East Valley Road District, parts of sections numbered eleven (11) and twelve (12) block six (6), South Dunedin Survey District of the Province of Otago aforesaid; also for the purpose of completing a road in the Port Molyneux Road District, part of section numbered fifteen (15), block two (2), Clarendon Survey District of the Province of Otago aforesaid; and also for the purpose of completing a road in the Tuapeka Road District, part of section numbered six (6), block one (1), Tuapeka Survey District of the Province of Otago aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Provincial Lease Certificate issued in favor of Samuel Arden, for section 26, block B, Tuapeka East, containing 39 acres of land has been cancelled at the request of the applicant, and the said land is now open for application under the Agricultural Lease Regulations.
