And notice is hereby further given, that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council of Otago aforesaid, on and after the thirteenth day of March, 1873.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity to the 29th section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown, on or before the 25th day of March, 1873.

Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Queenstown.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 3rd day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Robert Brown, for the Perseverance Company, No. 2, for ten acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be contained within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at the upper end of Welshmans Gully, St. Bathans.

CONDITIONAL TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until 14th March, 1873, from persons desirous of constructing a bridge over the Clutha River at the Beaumont, in terms of conditions to be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Tuapeka, on and after the 15th instant.

TENDERS for WORKS

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 18th March, 1873, for Contract No. 722—Formation of about 80 chains of road, Naseby to Clarks Diggings. Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Naseby.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 722.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.


NASEBY SLUDGE CHANNEL

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Saturday, 15th March, 1873, for Contract No. 1—Construction of about ten miles of Sludge Channel.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Pekoe Camp, Naseby.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 1, Sludge Channel.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
