EDUCATION RESERVES.
Committees for the ensuing year, viz.—Mos. Flat, Hamilton, Sowburn, St. Bathans, Blue Spur, Wetherstones, Otokia, Popotunoa, Taieri Beach, Awamoko, Macraes, Hillend, Tapanui, Upper Harbour West, Lower Harbour, Whare Flat, Blacks, Te Houka, Waiwera, Merton, Waiwera (Cave Valley), Mihinau (Mataura), Hyde, Wangaloa, Lower Shotover, Moeraki, Macetown, Glenore, South Akatore, South Bridge, Kakanui, Sawyer’s Bay, Highcliff, Tuapeka Mouth, Thompsons (Drybread and Tinkers), Tuturau, Tuaeri Ferry, Greytown, Tuakitoto, Albertown (Wanaka), Sandymount, Mount Cargill, Nokomai, Papakaio, Pukeuri, Kuri Bush, Adam’s Flat, Shag Valley, Clarke’s Flat, Upper Kyeburn, Lower Kyeburn, Inch Valley, Purakanui, Mosgiel, Evan’s Flat, Duntroon (Beaumont), Walton, Briton’s Point, Manuka Creek, Forest Hill, Mabel Bush, Grove Bush, Groper’s Bush, Limestone Plains, Orepuki, Oreti, and Wild Bush.

Extract from Section XIV of the “Education Ordinance, 1864.”
On the second Monday in the month of January in each year a public meeting of the owners and occupiers of land and householders in every Educational District, being male persons above twenty-one years of age, shall be held at a time and place to be fixed by the Secretary of the Board, and notified by public advertisement at least one month previously, and in such other manner as the Board shall direct, and at such meeting a Chairman shall be chosen, and the School Committee for the preceding year shall give a full report of their proceedings, and thereupon the electors present shall proceed to elect, either by show of hands or by ballot, as shall be determined upon by the said meeting, a new School Committee for the ensuing year of not less than five nor more than nine persons possessing the qualifications prescribed by Clause 13, and may re-elect all or any of the persons going out of office to be members of such new Committee, and every Committee so to be appointed shall hold office until the appointment of their successors.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves, can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

Otokia, part of section 2 of 28, block V, 15 acres.

NOTICE is hereby given that sections 2 of 7, block III, and section 1 of 35, block VI, Clarendon District, containing respectively 40a and 40a; section 12, block IV, Akatore District, containing 95a 1r 2p; and 1 of 35, block III, Kaitangata, containing 64a 0r 34p, will be offered for sale by public auction, by Mr Capstick, at his auction rooms, Tokomairiro, on Monday, the 20th day of January next, immediately after the Town Land Sale there, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.
