RESH TENDERS will be received at the office of

\nContract No. 699—Formation of portion of bridle track
\nbetween Arrowtown and Maori point, commencing one
\nchain east of Miller’s Creek and terminating at a point
\nabout 30 chains south of the saddle on the track from
\nArthur’s Point to Maori point.
\n
\nPlans and specifications may be seen and forms of
\ntender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads
\nand Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Arrowtown.
\nTenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for
\nContract No. 699.”
\n
\nThe Government does not undertake to accept the
\nlowest or any tender.

\ntween Winton and Wrey’s bush, commencing about 49
\nchains north of Winton bush, on the north road, and ter-
\nminating at the Aparima river, near Wrey’s bush.

\ntender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads
\nand Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.
\n
\nTenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for
\ncontract No. 694.”

\nThe Government does not undertake to accept the
\nlowest or any tender.

\nCONDITIONAL TENDERS will be received at the
\noffice of the Secretary for Works, until 7th Feb.,
\n1873, from persons desirous of constructing a bridge over
\nthe Clutha River at the Beaumont, in terms of conditions
\nto be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dun-
\nedin, and at the Police Camp, Tuapeka, on and after the
\n16th instant.

\nBoard, for
\nContract No. 1—Cutting and metalling certain portions
\nof the Main District Road. Works to be shown on appli-
\ncation to Mr Thos. Howorth, chairman, Walton Park.
\nContract No. 2—Cutting and metalling certain portions
\nof Miller’s Hill; and wooden bridge to be erected over
\ncreek at Mr Shand’s farm. Works to be shown on appli-
\ncation to Mr Hugh Graham, Boat Harbor.
\nContract No. 3—Building stone culvert at Port Wine
\nBridge, Brighton; also, cutting and embankment. Allan
\nCameron will point out the work to intending contractors
\non the 15th inst., at noon.
\n
\nTenders to be lodged with the Chairman until noon of
\nWednesday, the 22nd inst.
\n
\nThe Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or
\nany Tender.

\nabout £200. Intending Contractors by meeting about one
\nmile above Port Chalmers, on the Port Chalmers and
\nBlueskin road, at one p.m. on Monday, the 13th January,
\nwill be shown the work and specifications. Tenders to
\nbe numbered as per section, and delivered to the under-
\nsigned on or before the 14th January. The lowest or any
\ntender not to be necessarily accepted.

\nhaving quartz tested are informed that they can do so at
\nthe Government Battery. Charges and conditions as
\nfollows: One ton or less, 20s; one ton and not exceeding
\ntwo tons, 1s per cwt.; two tons up to ten tons at the rate
\nof 1s per ton. Payment to be made previous to com-
\nmencing crushing, the party to send a representative to
\nfeed and assist during crushing.

\nNOTICE is hereby given that the annual Statutory
\nmeeting of the owners and occupiers of land and
\nhouseholders in each educational district, for the election
\nof a new School Committee, and for the other purposes
\nspecified by Ordinance, will be held upon Monday, the
\n13th day of January, 1873, at 7 o’clock p.m. at the follow-
\ning mentioned places respectively, viz.:—

\nAt Dunedin, in the Middle District Schoolhouse, be-
\ntween York Place and Dowling street.
\nAt Tokomairiro, in the Main District Schoolhouse,
\nMilton.
\n
\nAnd in the respective Schoolhouses, or buildings used as
\nSchoolhouses, in the following-mentioned districts, viz.:
\nPort Chalmers, Portobello, North East Harbor, Ander-
\nson’s Bay, North Taieri, Lake Waipori, Waikouaiti, Hampden,
