RUNS FOR SALE.
MONDAY, 3rd day of February, 1873, at noon.
NOTICE is hereby given, that pastoral leases for 10 years, of the following Runs, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon.
Run No. 358, situated on the Waikaia River, contains 85,800 acres, about 3000 acres of which are agricultural lands, about 5000 acres are bush, the rest is rough hilly country.
The rental will be an assessment on not less than 8500 sheep. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, when the proportion of the first year’s assessment will be payable.
Run No. 359, situated at Nokomai, at the head of the Nevis, contains 15,000 acres, is composed principally of rough country.
The rental will be 7d per head on 3750 sheep. The lease will commence on the 3rd day of February, 1873, when the proportion of the first year’s rent will be payable.
Run No. 432, situate at the head of the Nevis River, at Nokomai, containing 9500 acres rough pastoral country.
The lease will commence on the date of sale, and the rent will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 1000 sheep, that being the minimum number the run is estimated to carry. A proportional part of the first year’s rent will be payable on the day of sale.
The sale will be in terms of the Otago Waste Land Act 1872. The upset premium in each case will be one halfpenny per acre of the estimated area of the run. A deposit of 1-10th part of the premium will be payable on the fall of the hammer, and the balance within a month. The rent or assessment will be payable, after the first year, on the 1st day of October of each succeeding year. The runs will be leased for a period of ten years, terminable during that time, without compensation, by the lessor giving 12 months’ notice.
The agricultural land as delineated on the plans to be seen at this office, to be resumable at any time without notice or compensation.
MONDAY, 27th January, 1873, at noon.
NOTICE is hereby given, that Sections 2 of 13, 14, 17, and 18, Block III, Otokia District, containing respectively 31a 3r 35p, 190a 0r 32p, 144a 1r 16p, and 110a 1r 3p, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 27th January next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.
TUESDAY, 21st January, 1873.
Section 43, Block I, Warepa District, containing 13a 3r 38p, will be offered for sale by auction, at the Crown Hotel, Balclutha, on Tuesday, the 21st January next, immediately after the Town Land Sale there.
NOTICE – The sales of the Townships of Kingston, Frankton, Glenorchy, Queenstown, and Kinloch, will be held on the 27th instant, instead of the 20th; Arrowtown, on the 29th instead of the 22nd; and Naseby, on the 3rd February, instead of the 29th instant, as previously advertised.
MONDAY, 10th February.
NOTICE is hereby given that sections 12 to 22, and sections 1 to 7, block IV, and sections 1 to 7, block V, Sutton District, (situate at Strath Taieri), averaging from 40 to 100 acres each, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, as land of special value, at the upset price of £1 per acre, on Monday, the 10th day of February next, at noon.
The advertisements respecting the sale of Town Lands and Runs, have been left out of the Gazette this week, but will appear again next week.
A MEETING will be held at the School-house, Tua- haka, on Wednesday, January 21, 1873, at 2 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of electing a School Committee for the ensuing year.
WAIPORI Road District. – Notice. – Ratepayers
Within the respective subdivisions of the above District are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates to me at my house (in the Maungatua Subdivision of the Waipori Road District) on or before Friday, the 31st January, 1873. For the convenience of ratepayers I shall attend at the undermentioned places: – Maungatua Woolshed store, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursdays, the 23rd and 30th January 1873; Waihola Toll-house, from 1 to 4 p.m., on Fridays, the 24th and 31st January; and at Waipori School-house, same evenings (24th and 31st) from 7 to 8 p.m.

HALF-WAY BUSH ROAD DISTRICT.
NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS. – The undersigned, Collector for the Half-way Bush Road Board, will attend at the Post-office, Half-way Bush, on Saturday next, the 11th January inst., between the hours of 3 and 6 in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving the Highway Rate for the current year, due in respect of the Wakari and Flagstaff Subdivisions, same comprising the above-named district.

The ratepayers of the above-named District are requested to pay the amount of their respective rates for current year to the undersigned on or before the 20th day of January, 1873, after which date all unpaid rates will be recovered in a summary way without further notice.
