Land Reservations




NOTICE
Of certain Land in the township of Waipori and Province of Otago having been reserved as a site for public buildings.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for public buildings; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve as a site for public buildings (that is to say)—

That section one (1) block VIII. township of Waipori containing by admeasurement one (1) acre one (1) rood and fifteen (15) poles more or less.

Dated at Dunedin this fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

NOTICE
Of certain land in the Province of Otago having been reserved for the use of the Clutha Agricultural and Pastoral Society.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for the use of the Clutha Agricultural and Pastoral Society; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for the use of the Clutha Agricultural and Pastoral Society (that is to say)—

Sections 1 2 3 4 15 16 17 18 and 19 block VII, Balclutha.

Dated at Dunedin this fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Of certain land in the Province of Otago having been reserved as a site for a public Cemetery at Tuapeka District.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a site for a Public Cemetery, Tuapeka District, and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for a public Cemetery, Tuapeka District: (that is to say)—

Section 8, block VIII, Tuapeka District, containing by admeasurement six (6) acres one (1) rood and eight (8) poles, more or less.

Dated at Dunedin, this fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

NOTICE
Of certain Land in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Educational Purposes.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for Educational purposes; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as reserves for Educational purposes: (that is to say)—

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement one (1) acre, one (1) rood, and twenty-eight (28) poles, more or less, situate in the Town of Fairfax, being block numbered twenty-one (XXI) on the map of the said town; bounded towards the north-west by block numbered fourteen (XIV) one thousand two hundred and twenty-nine (1229) links; towards the north-east by Leman street, one hundred and fifty-nine (159) links; towards the south-east by Newport street, one thousand two hundred and forty-two (1242) links; and towards the south-west by Loup street, one hundred and sixty-seven (167) links.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres, more or less, being section 2, block VI, Benger Survey District; bounded towards the north-west by section 1, same block, five hundred (500) links; towards the north-east by a road line, two thousand (2000) links; towards the south-east by section 1, five hundred (500) links; and towards the south-west by section 1, two thousand (2000) links.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement seven (7) acres one (1) rood and twenty-four (24) poles, more or less, being section 74, block V, Oamaru Survey District; bounded towards the north by section 73, nine hundred and thirty (930) links; towards the east and south-east by a road line eight hundred and ninety (890) links; towards the south by section 2 of 29, seven hundred (700) links; and towards the west by section 2 of 29, eight hundred and fifty-four (854) links.

Of certain land in the town of Balclutha, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a site for an Athenaeum.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have, under and by virtue of Section 62 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866," recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a site for an Athenaeum, and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for a site for an Athenaeum: (that is to say)—

Section 16, block VII, Balclutha.
