NOTICE is hereby given that section 33, block 1, Clarendon district, containing 111a. 3r. 15p. Sections 10, 11, 19 and 2 of 24, block II, Clarendon district, containing respectively 162a. 3r. 15p., 140a. 3r. and 38 p., 146a. 0r. 15p., and 40a. Section 26, block III, Kaitangata, containing 119a. 2r. 15p., will be offered for sale by public auction at Mr Capstick’s auction rooms, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 6th day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre.

Immediately after, sections 1, 2, and 3, block X: Waihola district, containing 55a. 1r. 21p., 52a. 0r 33p., 52a. 1r. 14p., will be offered at the upset price of 10s per acre, subject to repayment of survey expenses, amounting to £4 7s on each section.

IMMIGRANTS’ PASSAGE-MONEY.—Notice to Assisted Immigrants who arrived in the Province before the year 1869.

All immigrants who have arrived in the Province by ships prior to those referred to in the notice hereunder, and who have not paid their passage-money, are requested to do so at once by remitting same to me. Proceedings will be taken to recover in all cases of nonpayment. When necessary the time for payment will be extended.—JOHN LOGAN, Immigration Agent.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

DEPASTURAGE IN HUNDREDS.

OWNERS or Occupiers of Land within Hundreds are informed that by the “Otago Waste Land Act 1872,” having passed into law, the Return of Acreage occupied, and Cattle desired to be Depastured, must be furnished to the Waste Land Board, and a Depasturing License taken out on or before the 1st December, 1872, (not the 1st January, as heretofore ;) in order to obtain the privilege of Depasturing Cattle on the Hundreds during the year 1873, and to give a right to vote at the election of Wardens.

The License Fee is 2s. 6d.

Forms and Licenses may be obtained from the Rangers and from this Office.

I, of , do hereby solemnly declare, to the best of my knowledge and belief, that the above is a correct return of the acreage occupied (or owned), of the land unenclosed, and of the stock owned by me (or under my charge) and which were actually depasturing (or, which I desire to depasture) on the Hundred on (or after) the day of 187 ; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true in every respect.

NOTICE.—The Waikouaiti Road Board having decided to levy a General Rate of One Shilling in the pound on all rateable property within the district, for the current year, Notice is hereby given that the rate roll will be open for inspection at the house of the clerk, and a copy at the Kilmog Hotel, from this date. W. H. BAYLY, Clerk to Board. November 6th, 1872.

NOTICE.—The Waipori Road Board intend to levy a rate for the current year on all rateable property within the district. The rate books for the respective subdivisions of the Board will be open for the inspection of ratepayers at the Schoolhouse, Lake Waipori, from this date until the 5th December. Objections, if any, must be lodged with the clerk in writing, not later than the 5th December next.—JAMES SIM, Clerk to the Board, Maungatua, 5th November, 1872.
